hehe you got it bang on, I read the Fluff from the Black legion army list: 'The Decimator is a corrupted variant of an older, and now obselete, precursor to the Shadowsword' and took inspiration from that.
I decided that the skin/mutation is made up of the enemies crushed under its tracks, I was thinking of modelling them onto bases and show troops partially absorbed, by having legs/bodies/arms sticking out but after applying the putty and sculpting pock marks and such I decided to leave them off as they look quite chaotic anyhowz!

Yeah the biggest problem I had taking the Pics was my camera is a SLR 12.6 MP and the smallest pic it can take is still about 400Kb(250Kb to big for posting!) so I had to do the old go into photoshop, crop and reduce the size of the image via compression.
Kind of reminds me of my old Design studio days....
