Speaking of Rgts ... that was my unit from the 101 that did the recent air assault in Iraq. 3rd Bde/ 187th Rgt ... I saw the Rgt insignia stencilled on the door of a Hummer ! Go Rakassans !!!

So the Finns would contribute to the Russian Army?
Indeed, I am building a Russain force, which will now have a company of Finnish Sharpshooters and a special LI. Just let me know the colours!
The political situation in the Aeronef/Aquanef/LI world is a blend of several VSF authors. From an Eastern Europe perspective the Russian Empire exists (and participates in several major global wars) but dissolves after the revolution of 1905 and turns into a bunch of warring states (each with their own "ism" and backed by different powers).
But of course, VSF is about doing whatever you please. How about a Breakaway Finnland fighting the Russians, but with 2 major rebel factions who dont get along, backed by Prussia and Britian? Makes a change from fighting in the hot sun anyway! Hot toddies for all!

This weeks' modelling: Prussian Land Striders!
Used to primarily as Recon support units, these Contraptions can face down unsupported infantry and cavalry, tough their thin plating is vulnerable to artillery and other Ironclads.

I would if I knew the colors myself. I've been trying to locate some sources but without success so far. Some good people from a Finnish gaming list promised to help so I'm waiting for their answer.
