Well, that's an answer. Pitty.
And indeed the Mars models look extremely well in my opinion (some people think they are disgusting). Since I have no IN fleet in my collection and in a year you can save alot of money and I buy once a year something for BFG, I know where my money will go!
Care to eleborate more about the Mars Fleet or still Top Secret? Guess the latter.
Will BFG 2.0 be released alongside the Mars Fleet? As a marketing idea I would do that! Maybe Battlefleet Gothic should get another name. Surely since most battles that are played don't take place in the Gothic sector.
Battlefleet or Starfleet Battles.

The name isn't gonna change!

I always thought of a name change, but then though It's so much better to keep it as Battlefleet Gothic.
Really, Battlefleet Gothic is a tremendous name(though Battlefleet Armageddon has a nice ring to it...)
Mars is sounding very tempting. Always liked Mars. Always always. That said, having the GK in there too...
Bizarre. Shouldn't they be scouring Ganymede for daemons?

Agreed, the name Battlefleet Gothic has a great sound to it. And the abbrevation BFG is common known.
So predictable as the weather in England? I heard there's always fog or rain. Thus that must mean you know the release date!

Quote (Raysokuk @ 15 Feb. 2006 (19:33)) | I've just been made aware of this topic! You can't sell a model of the prow as it is an IP issue (there are loop holes around this but you start doing things that are ilegal for other reasons, harder to trace but with a far harsher penalty!)
Anyway, There are no plans from SG to release a Voss prow! (that I know of)
FW are thinking about it, but are so busy doing what they want to that it hasn't been put in motion.
The problem with the model was the thin bit just before the engines. The problem occurs because it's a metal model and they use a centifuge (sp!) to make metal models. Becasue of the shape this lead to the engine section often making the model unacceptable to sell (due to too little metal getting to the edge of the mould where the engine is). It was something like 10-20% that were naff, meaning they'd need actual people to sort through it all and pick out the crap ones (they just don't have the resources for that, it would also make the model bloody expensive!). If I recal correctly they tried 'overflowing' the mould to try and get enough metal in there but this wears the moulds out too quickly and is not at all cost affective! (the Models would have to be sold at about ?100 each, or more!)
But the prow is fine! However it is extremely unlikley that this will be released any time in this decade! Since the Battle fleet mars ships 'should' be comming out in a year or so! (Snip) Have fun,

My understanding of resin casting is that you are allowed to make resin casts of GW models for own personal use. What about if the person does n't sell them but gives them away/swaps them etc?
Does it make any difference that these figures were never actualy sold by GW?
Noone wants to see BL's friend get into trouble with GW- which is why I mentioned IP in the first place. It is just a shame that it is a product that is never going to be sold by GW that the customers want. I wish that there was some (legal & above board) way around this.
Cheers

If he doesn't sell it, I'm pretty sure there is no bother. (swaping on the other hand gets a little dicy, but if its done off a public forum, or not done publicly I can't see there being any trouble!).
You can be sneaky and say something like, 'email me if you want 'help' making a Voss prow', then you do, and he says I've got some spare prows do you want to swap, then you'll probably get away with it!
Cheers,
RayB

Here the finished model:

And it is for personal use only. But sure you can ask him how to build one by yourself Really it is NO Voss-Prow. Sure you can see the differences. But i will use it as a Voss-Prow.

Actually you could sell it on ebay as a conversion! (it could come on a Dauntless or Cruiser hull!)
