Is the claim really that 2 Hive Tyrants or a HT/Warrior combo would unduly limit the activation count in a Nid army?

Fresh perspective often helps
(like the rerolling rally checks with left over SC reroll!) | I don't know what you are talking about...

Hena: I get that. In my experience, Nids usually start out a bit behind on activations, but they never break. Short of killing Synapse Creatures or completely eliminating a formation, they don't lose them. Given that doubling up on the SC in a swarm effectively makes it twice as likely to be around to activate, I'm puzzled why an activation disadvantage is touted as a serious drawback. I have usually found that by turn 3 the Nids are even or ahead on activation count.

Interesting thread, for now I am not going to support a 'Spawn based on number of Synapse Creatures', but I DO think the discussion should continue as it does have some interesting possibilities.
No Army can have more then one Supreme Commander, period.
O-1 Dominatrix will be put into effect.
Thanks All

You might consider leaving the option in place for more than one, but note that if you have multiples one must be desginated as the (sole) Supreme Commander.

Wouldn't that be a Hydraphant?

I thought that Hydraphants didn't have the queen symbiote.
What about giving Dominatrixi commander and have a 0-1 optional upgrade for supreme commander. Just like the marine list does.

Um, I'm not sure if you mean that funny or not, but no. A Dominatrix w/o the SC reroll is significantly different than a Hydraphant.
A non-Supreme Commander Dominatrix would still be a Synapse Creature at the very least and, presumably, a Commader and Leader as well (not that Leader really matters in this case...).
