Good point Krooza. I did kind of regret I used that head when I began painting up the model though I suppose it is not too late to do some modifications. Unfortunately all my command heads are reserved for other projects so it is probably going to be modifications to the plastic heads if any changes are made. ...Hmmm.. Perhaps adding a bunch of tubes coming ouot of the mouth... reminds me of some illustration of a Tech Priest somewhere...
Anyway I'm quite satisfied with my painting today. Having lots of spare time I've finally finished not just the Stompas but also all my Dreadnoughts and Killa Kanz which has been sitting half finished for ages. Horray! Tomorrow I'm going to rebase all my Goff Orkz so I can get the Goff section of the Epic Lounge up and running. Also in the works are some Battlefortresses which I hope I can get done before the weekend ends.

Whew. I've just finiehed the last things I'd set myself as goal for today. The plan was to sand and paint the bases on all my Goff Orkz. When I originall rebased my orks aroundthe release of E40k I didn't bother to properly sand the bases as Orks weren't my main army at the time (and in case someone missed it I HATE doing bases!). Instead they just got a quick coat of Bubonic Brown which IMO has always looked really awfull. Well until today that is.
ON my workbench now sits 30 bases of Goff Boyz, 16 bases of Nobz, 12 bases of Grotz and 5 Warboss stands. which means that most of my Ork army is now completely rebased and "up to speed" so to speak. Tedious work but well worth the effort now that it is done.

I've converted a squadron of looted Blood Axe land Raiders. I hope to get them painted during the afternon so I can have a Blood Axe update ready for the Lounge very soon.

Here's the finished result:

Just a load of gubbinz glued on. I figured that the Land Raider's complicated weapons systems would break down pretty fast in the hands of curious Mekboyz. Instead they'd then replace them with tried and tested Ork Weapons. There's a bunch of guns from the Forge World Gunwagons and some plastic turrets which I think gives the tanks a bit of a Grant tank look...

I have to say, WmN, that those are some of the best Orky vehicles that I have seen. They are exactly what I would try to achieve (and fail badly) and what I imagine Ork wagonz to be. Excellent!

Working a bit on my Eldar Titans. Here's a WIP shot of the Revenants.
Still no shading done on anything but the bone colour but I'm quite happy with how that part is turning out. I hadn't really painted anything large bone coloured in something like 10 years when I bought some WHFB undead to use with Hero Quest... The weapons and fins will be a gradient from yellow to orange as I'm trying to copy the colourscheme of the studio Phantom titans from around the release of Ttian Legions. I think that colourscheme looks great and provides some variation from the predominantly yellow scheme of the rest of my Eldar army.
I am also continuing work on the small Dark Angles army. Right now I'm focussing on the heavy and special weapons of the two tactical formations. Here's two Heavy Bolters and a Flamer.
The Bolters are pretty straightforward: Cut down the missile Launcher to a small box and add a few pieces of plastic The flamer is a bit more tricky: remove the ammo clip and replace it with a piece of plastic rod for the fuel tank. Cut off the tip of the bolter muzzle and replace that with a bit of rod as well. Carve away some of an even thinner piece of rod for the igniter and place that underneath the flamer muzzle. Then carve the muzzle a bit into a flamer shape. Coming soon is some more Flamers, a couple of Plasma Guns, Multi Meltas, Las Cannons and Missile Launchers (I'm going to redo the standard Missile launcher to look more like the current "Bazooka" style.

 | I was wondering how you did the bone effect? can you give me a step by step, as I've got a couple to do. Though they are going to be Iyanden Yellow, I'm sure similar techniques will work.
