Here's my first bit of epic painting in a long time - some spare eldar plastics painted up for a friend.

Paintjob for most units was very simple - blood red with chestnut wash - details in boltgun metal, black, white etc. Total time to assemble, paint and flock the whole thing was one Saturday morning and afternoon, and 4 evenings. For basing I used 20mm square plasticard pieces with sanded corners, and more minimal basing conventions of 3-4 figures.

Theme is an infantry based Sam Hainn - using the Biel Tan or Ulthwe lists. Makes ok 3K lists, probably needs some titans and more vehicles etc for effective 4-5K play.

Here's a close up of some of the units.  Can't remember the manufacturer of the aircraft, but they look sleek and speedy like Sam Hainn should  :;):

Really nice. Those aircraft are pretty cool although I like the bigger one the best.
I really like the Dark Reaper Aspect Warior as well

I'd second that, that aircraft seems very appropriate for the older style falcons you've used.  Where do they originate from?

Looking good, in anycase Markconz!

great army Markconz, I looked at the 'army' pics and thought.....way too shiny, but then at the more detailed shots where they look great, interesting.
The bomber is wonderful, I think you're gonna have to remember where they come from
And a Saim Hainn army without bikes! what's the story?

Cool minis Markconz.

And the flyers are Silent Death Space Ships. The smaller ones are 1 man space fighter called Dart and the bigger ones are 2 man space fighter called Teal Hawk.

And by a curious coincidence I recently painted up some Darts in a red colur scheme for my Silent Death fleet- Sigurd Archdiocese- Vikings in space!! I went for red as the primary colour on historical Viking shields & banners.

Only a small thing but I like the way you have done the white tips to the wings. I might have to steal that idea to help in squadron identification.

Anyhow the figures are from a sprue of 12 different space ships that can be still purchased from the manufacturers (Iron Crown Enterprises) or several other sources:

http://store.ironcrown.com/category.jsp?category=2043

http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/S ... ction.html
(page down towards the bottom- currently sold at 1 sprue of 12 for UK?2.50.

Any more questions on the ships please ask!!

Cheers

James

Sadly the bikes are are all in my Biel Tan!! At least it is possible to buy bikes by themselves these days (though some clipping of lances would be necessary to convert them to normal bikes).

Ironically I am going to paint up few more Biel Tan bikes so I can make a Sam Hainn list with Biel Tan Sceme  :D

And thanks for the info about the aircraft WI - I new someone here would know what they were!  :D

Hi Mark,

Great painting!

I've always liked the Silent Death ships as well!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
