There sia indeed a slight blueish tint to the black. In short I start with a black undercoat (duh  ) then drybrush a mix of black and lightning blue untill a certain point. Then I clean the brush and do the top highlights with a mix of Lightning blue and pure white. Depending a bit on the mix the blackness of the model can get more or less blue. The header pic is photoshopped though so is is much more blue than normal.
I've been snapping new pics of my Khorne stuff. The red is a bit pale but definitely much better than the overly red colour which obscured all the highlights before. The Daemon Engines in particular looks nicer than before.

That Caligula just blows me away, and the amount of conversion and bitz you do to all of your armies really astounds me.
One day I hope to do some pages of my VSF Armies in a similar format.

Geez, if I compare myself to you I'm really lazy at taking pictures of finished miniatures.
....hmmm...since I traded my Canon Powershot A60 with my Dad's Canon Powershot G2 !!! Har Har (well he has a newer and better digital camera as well.) I have an excuse to make photo's under the light of 'just testing'.

Doh! I was putting together the Speed Freeks page when I remembered that I forgot to set the right White alance on the camera when i snapped the pics. The camrea was set to flourescent lighting but I was snapping the pics with regular flash in daylight so everything turned out very yellowish. I don't know id I'm going to bother correcting it though since I was aiming at a slightly yellowish look anyway. However the pics look almost sepia...
Oh well it is still better than the original pics IMO.
