You all seem to like pictures, so...
I've had the GUO sitting on my bench, basecoated (with one colour), for about five years. Last week I picked him up and finished him off. The plaguebearers I've just thrown in so he doesn't feel so lonely ;-)

Very cool tchristney!
Btw, what did you use for the trunks of those "palm trees" in the background?

Just like the glorious old pic from the first ed of Blood Bowl showing a GUO sitting in the stands eating pop-Khorne. |
Yeah, that was kewl. I still have the old rules and hardback books somewhere around here....

Those are sickening, er, I mean, nice looking minis, tc. I must say, using screws for trees is very creative. I would never have thought of that!

Thanks everyone! To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with my photos. The colours look too washed out compared the the real thing. I guess that's a skill I'll have to work on.
Nice to see the old grandfather! That model is one of my favourites from the chaos range, and my favourite daemon Epic model. |
I have one of the other GUO from the same era which I found in my bitz box (much of which I acquired when GW Vancouver moved from Gastown to Metrotown). That model has a big mouth right in the middle of his belly. Very cool.

The nice thing is that the screws and the penny bases adds some weight so the trees aren't easily knocked over during play. Cheap, too. They work out to around $0.15 each. If I were to do more tomorrow, I would probably try to use acrylic gel medium instead of masking tape
