Dang.  I usually prefer to make my own terrain, usually using stuff from bargain bins if using prefabs at all.

Those, however, actually tempt me to buy.  Very, very nice as far as I'm concerned.

Glad you like them guys.
As stated previously, they are being slightly altered for the final models, but they're great pieces & the variety in sections is superb.

I cant remember if I've already said this on the forums, I thought I had but I cant find the post so I'll say it again:

Pricing
We have confirmed some info for you on the subject which everyone has wanted to know about - pricing.

Infantry packs will be ?4.50 (maybe slightly less!). Usually for 40 pieces.

Vehicle packs will be ?5.50 (maybe slightly less!). For 2 or 3 pieces based on size (i.e. I'm not sure its possible to fit 3 Chasseurs in a blister!)

Unfortunately for me, that makes them rather affordable for such nice figs.... I cant afford to start buying more models.... I have FoW Soviet purchases planned until 2007! :p :p

Just what I was afraid of - reasonable prices.  :D  Boy, these are going to be hard to resist.  :(8:

With G/W dropping the ball with Epic (bet after the F/Orks are out in Feb-Mar, that's the last we'll see !), DRM will be getting a lot of our biz !

Well we know what prices gw are, anyone got a comparison to any other sci fi ranges? GHQ for instance (not sci fi but loverly models).

The two companies Ive bought from in the past are GZG and Irregular. Irregular Miniatures are best described as 'cheap and cheerful' (they can be very rough...), and their Inf are normally 20p for a strip of 5, and around 60p for the tanks. As I recall the sci fi infantry aint bad,  but the tanks are a bit crap frankly (no offence to anyone who likes them, I can be fussy...).

GZG arent as cheap, at around ?1 for a tank, and 24 infantry for ?2.50. The ones I have arent bad, the tanks are quite clean and neat, but Im not terribly keen on the designs, and I cant actually remember what the infantry are like off the top of me 'ead ???

Brigade Miniatures do a load of tanks, which arent bad at around 60p-80p each.

Please dont bring up GHQ Chris, it takes considerable willpower daily to not invest in more of their 1/2400 modern naval vessels, and the micro armour they do looks very appealing too...

Even at SG's current prices, the infantry arent bad (32 bases @ ?12 = ?0.38/base, the wonders of plastic), but the tanks are a bit of a nightmare at ?2+ each. Meh. Bring on DRM! :)

Forget GHQ's 1/2400 moderns, I need their WW2 Japanese stuff!  I haven't seen any of their Micro-armor in the lead, but their ships are exquisite.  The lighter stuff (DDs & CLs) tends to be one piece, possibly with a few details separate, and larger stuff (CA/BB) comes in Hull, turrets (at least primaries, and often secondaries), and superstructure, with a couple sprues of fiddly detail bits (masts, cranes & planes).

Prices are actually slightly higher than GW (for the amount of metal you get), but since you need fewer ships for a fleet, overall force costs are lower.  CV/CVAs seem to run $15, BBs run $12, CAs $9, CLs $7.75, and DDs 3/$9, IIRC.

IIRC, tank platoons (the basic GHQ blister) run ~$8, but I wasn't paying much attention to them.
