Quote (Dwarf Supreme @ 27 Dec. 2005 (12:01)) | 120 grots? That must have taken for ever! I didn't know the new plastic minis don't fit in the old square bases. Thanks for the heads-up, CC. | Hi!
DS, I use regular warhammer 20mm bases when I dont have old square bases. When flocked they look just as good.

t5h, point taken about needing a DOS machine to play the olde games on. X-Com rules! (oh, sorry, y'all Europeans know it as UFO: Enemy Unknown)
I traded a friend the entire bretonnian army box (less army book) for 2k-ish points of Empire. I'm going a bit overboard on these guys, and decided to make the 'Black Company' of Glenn Cook's writing arrive on the table.
Saving up for FoW, Infinity, and two major epic armies (the Dark Angels chapter, and a Tau force). Already got the planning underway for the Dark Angels and Tau.
Just about done with the desert theme Tau. Just have two more Broadsides to strip and repaint. Then it's on to the "ESWAT 'Tau'", which are going to incorporate a lot of other manufacturer's suits. VC's CLAW suits are 28mm Landmates, and Pig Iron Productions heavy infantry are dead ringers for 28mm Orc suits. (Battlesuits and Stealth suits, respectively, and half the price!)

I use to use 20mm squares of plasticard instead of Epic bases. Worked well.
Do the same now and again with the Epic40K bases as well.

Nice work Jimbo.
I know from your blog the gun is suppose to be a burna, but it sure reminds me of a rifle grenade.

It is a rifle grenade (Rokkit Launcha) type weapon. Not sure where (or even if) I said it was a burna!
For the record it is a Rokkit Launcha, using a Shoota and a Grenade.

Hi,
After recovering from both a prolonged night-shift at work, and then a rather hectic xmas, I finally received the first unit in my new IG army today, two Yaokong Remotes from Corvus Belli (for their Infinity system) to count-as Warhounds (or possibly just a unique unit). The best pic I have found until I build these up myself is on Agis Neugebauer's site HERE. They're 28mm scale, so work well for 6mm as titans, but are a bit smaller than they seem. I'm going to clean and glue them today and will try to take pics for scale. (The body is approx the size of an epic devilfish btw, probably ok for a BIG defiler I would think)
They do look like they would fit in well with Tau, but as I don't have any, they're slotting into my IG.
Cheers, Freshmetal

Freshmetal - how big are those things?
I just looked at the page and the small robots at the bottom of this page INFINITY?would be really great defilers... unless their awfully large!

I concur, KbD, they would make good defilers if they are the right size.
