Hi guys,
I started the workbench clean-up this morning at 1100 (well, thereabouts, anyway). Here's the first results.
Thanks Dafrca!  :D

Hi!

Hehe, thats not a bad point. I like using some of the older vehicles for flavor in special units nowadays.

Nice one V, good simple, clean colour scheme. I like the dusty effect around the tracks.
Good photography as well- nice and bright and against a good plain (apart from cat fluff! :p ) background.

yup, those cats get everywhere.
Would you believe the background is just a hardbound diary?  :alien:  :;):

More clearance work! Again, models by Dafrca  :D
Here's a Deathstrike.
Trouble is I have 4 launchers, and 2 missiles. I'm leaving one empty for now.... what to do with the other?  ???

Here's the gang of four.  :D
The Thunderbolt one is a dilemma though - do I use it:
1 - as a contingency air-defence system, launching a Thunderbolt in CAMship tradition?
2 - use the Thud as an explosive filled remote controlled missile (as used by the Luftwaffe with Mistel weapons in WWII, although these were air-launched)
3 - use the Thud as a remotely piloted drone ot give the Hydra crews practice (wht am I saying, I don't have a single Hydra!) - the colours fit in with this role!
4 - use the launcher as an impromptu salvage vehicle.
:blues:

Nice minis, Van. I love seeing those old minis.

For the Thud, I would choose #2. You could even think of it as a piloted V-1, which the Germans did have in WWII, but never deployed. Although, given the paint scheme, #3 seems appropriate too!  :D

Cool stuff V.

Tough choice on the launcher.  I think it just looks cool as a Thunderbolt "ready 5" launcher.

Thanks guys - and thanks for the link, Mojarn. I'd heard f the Natter - spectacular beastie, eh? Wouldn't like to pilot one, though!
I guess I should've set up a poll... :p
Anyway - the good thing is, I can use it as any of the above, according to my preference at the moment. Good job I didn't stick it on - it can still be propped up on a flybase.
Incidentally, the Thud is one of a small batch of six I'd bought ages ago - and almost sold when I was despairing of Epic! Aaaargh! I did sell 3 Marauders and a Leviathan (stupid!). At least the most regretted (the Lev) is back thanks to Dafrca  :D
The colours were meant to be those of an ace pilot, with the other 5 being a dark navy blue. In the event 4 of these ended up with the Squatachans back in the first ToEG. I was going through the Epic stores for a suitable missile (I had the Mega Gargant missiles in mind) when I spotted this fighter, and the colours immediately brought to mind the fdrone idea. I finished off the Thud details and wash (it only had its half and half coat on) - and there you have it.
Some day I have to take a pic of the Imperial Epic incomplete models store (Squats included). The Nid, Ork, Eldar and Chaos ones are less impressive - although in the Orky case this is because of the half dozen gargants which are complete.
