The 'exploding' escorts will not be fancied by me. And as Cpt.Leoten mentions, in the end its his fleet.

So that would mean turrets.

Frell, I lost track of what the fleet should be like! And I think its a great looking fleet! So good rules needed.

See if I can pop out something later...?!

Yeah, having my ships randomnly explode isn't on my list of 100 favourite things :P

Ok back to basics:

heavy shielding
quick
lacking actual armour
no ordnance
shields replace ordnance with BM until they are lost

and then the other stuff :P

A bit of Cpt.Leoten, a grain of Magus, a pinch by Raysokuk, stirred by me:

Aenari

Special Rules

Phased Array Lasers ? Act as standard batteries. However in ordnance phase for every point of strength it fires at enemy ordnance wich gets within 10cm, hitting at a 5+.

Energy Spheres ? An exotic weapon, combining a form of torpedo & lance system. ?The weapon must be reloaded when fired. The weapon automatically re-rolls all misses, Lock-on gives no additional benefit. When on Special Orders weapon may be fired at full strength.

Antimatter Cores ? When an Aenari escort or cruiser is destroyed its energy core explodes in a spectacular way. All vessels within D6 cm are hit with lance hits equal to the starting hits of the vessel.

turn 90*
speed 30cm

weaponry:
Phased Array lasers - 30cm ? 3 LFR
Energy Spheres - 30cm ? 1 LFR

Aenari cruiser

weaponry:
Phased Array lasers - 30cm ? 6 LFR
Energy Spheres - 30cm ? 3 LFR
