Lucky me I wasn't a member here starting 2005! :p
No apologies to do because I didn't do it... heh heh.

So I can say:

* I was a good husband
* I was a good dad

* Painted everything I wanted to paint (yeah, right....)

Oh my! Looking at the list I'm actually surprised how much of it I've managed to complete. However there's also a number of areas where I've failed miserably... :p

Right, I started the thread years - uh, no, one year ago, and I'll have to undergo review:
1 - clear the workspace of loads of unfinished models - especially Gargant Deffsta

Well - the workspace is even more cluttered.. but Deffsta IS ready! 1/2 a point?
2 - aim for a 3000 point painted Epic Eldar army (this is Doc's holidays (Doc Holiday's?!) challenge)

Failed miserably.... not a single Eldar completed - well, 2 DE models actually...
3 - paint the 40K Tyranid FW Spore Chimney
half painted! another 1/2 point!
4 - complete the LOTR Mumak
Not yet started - but I bought another box of Haradrim - does that help? No?
5 - start my Warmaster Undead army paintwork
1 steam tank painted - and yes, I KNOW they're undead. An undead steam tank....
6 - paint a complete Imperial fleet for BFG
well, the TOEG round one helped! I DO have a fleet - and more Imperials to come. yay - 1 whole point at last!
7 - complete a 1500pt 40K Tyranid army (all models there, converion work and paint left)
er - was this really mine?  :p
8 - complete a 2000 point WHFB Empire army (all models there, construction and paintwork to be completed)
we-ell - there were these Dark elves, and Wood Elves, and Undead, and beastmen....
9 - sporadic work on odds and ends for the 3rd army (Legio Machinator, AdMech Squatarii, IG, Angels of Fire SMs, Imperial Auxilia and support stuff)
Odds and ends! I did say odds and ends! And the ToEG 1 Squatarii are there! 1 point! :D
10 - build an Epic Batwing
nope... DE will help!
11 - build some Epic terrain
Yes! Saved by Epicomp this time round! 1 point! The score i s - uh - 4/11  :down:
12 - assemble and paint a Slaaneshi Man O'War fleet (all models there)
13 - build the Krawla
14 - build the Vox Populi
15 - start the Epic L&D army work

That's bad, 4 nos in a rows. I mean row.
16 - start work on CLASSIFIED - POTENTIAL ENTRIES FOR BFG COMPETITION
17 - start work on CLASSIFIED - POTENTIAL ENTRIES FOR 2005 EPIC COMPETITION
Two yesses in a - er - whatever - 2 more points!
18 - Start an Inquisitor warband
Who, me? With just one model (Ad Mech, what else....)

6/18 = 1/3 = 33.3% score :oops:
Er - not TOO bad, eh?  :down:

It is not over yet! I still have two weeks...  :down:

Assuming that I dont manage to make a significant breakthrough in the next two weeks, my totals are...

- Move and update the web site. New address, new look, new visitors and readers and popularity.


Web site moved? No. Updated? No. New address? No. But, new members and popularity here on the boards. Mostly a failure here I am afraid.

- Wedding bells are in the air for me at some point in 2005.


Yep. One achieved.

- Get a career, rather than a job.

No change in job, but I am happier where I am and more prepared to call it a career.

- Set down roots and get a house!

With property prices in the UK? Nope.

- Paint up at least one force for at least two games that will allow me to actually play them without borrowing minis or using unpainted ones!

Oh yes... that... Not done... In fact, a couple of new forces started and going no-where. Minus points there, I think.

- Finish both my Epic Genestealer Cult and Crucible of Chaos Epic lists finalised, and a force painted up for each.

No, and no.  :down:

- Get another six issues of Warp Rift out, and get it more noticed.

A couple more issues. Not six, but not too bad either.

Generally, I have achieved fairly few of my resolutions, but the ones that I did get through were big and I am not unhappy with the way in which the year has panned out.

Yes V, but you DIDNT have
1) Get into Aeronef and build at least 2 conversions
2) Build some Tripods - UUUUULLLLLLLLLAAAAAAA!
3) Get into Ironstars and start a Japanese Fleet

Have 3 extra points! :)

Hi!

Good question. Perhaps half is painted with the other half at the painters.

Although, I'm considering repainting many of the old stuff with the crappy paint jobs done by me a long time ago. So that makes a LONG paint project even longer. YEARS longer.....  :(

OK, I planned to

* Finish my Flesh tearers SM army - FAIL
* Get my Chaos army doen - FAIL
* Not start any wars I didnt mean to!
thats 1/3...

But I didnt plan to do these and did:
* Start training in Karate again - got my purple belt after 9 months
* Go to Iraq.  Got all my sailors home well and in 1 piece
* Start mutliple Aeronef Fleets
* Diverse into weird games to play with my kids

Plus like DS, was a Dad and Husband
So overall I'm happy.  Gives me lots to re-plan on for this year! :p

Aww, you're too good - especially as I don't have a Japanese fleet! Just Russian - and British. :D

1) Finish a SINGLE squad for my 40k BT army
2) paint enough Squats to get me past the 10k mark
3) Take a group pic of the above.
4) Finish my Prometheus conversion.

EDIT:
5) Take a pic of the Prometheus.


1) Not finished
2) still 500 points short
3) obviously can't be done without 2)
4) I'm not even sure where that lump of plastic IS at the moment...
5) You get two guesses.  :blues:
