Hehe yeah... no deadlines is a killer - it'll eventually make you drown in miniatures!

The main downside of all this is that nobody else can keep pace. So it's hard to find anybody who wants to play. Except for 40k, which everybody thinks is grand.......

But I've taken to a new concept - have two armies in every game.. "I supply it all - all you have to do is bring along some dice and start playing."

I'm walking the same line and the grand plan will come to futation next year when the new house is built.

You'll have a house! That's unfair!  :D

Me, the misses and my son share 50 m2... not a lot of room!

My "room" is actually a platform in the living room. The room is 5 meters to the ceiling...

Hey mr.killed sir, who makes these power armor troops? GZG?

EDIT: And does your friend have the vehicle expansion for the Operation Overlord? OO is a rather good infantry skirmish game with some innovative mechanics but the vehicle rules are too abstract for my taste and I would like to know whether the vehicel expansion is worth purchasing.

Hi,

Those are VOID assault marines. They're made by Urban Mammoth these days - based in Scotland I believe.

They have a whole range of very very delightful new minis for the VOID setting.. it's all out in a game called Urban War.

Here a link:

Urban Mammoth

There are 6 factions as of now:

Viridians - some eco warriors.. very elite military

The syntha - a civilization dedicated to implants and robots.

The Triads - a japanese mafia inspired something. I actually have a load of these - very nice figs! If you like samurais and all that.

Last but not least - the Junkers.. convicts, deathsentenced troops, well they've got it all - inspired by roman legionaires.

The last factions are the Koralon... aliens - looks like a coupling between tyranids and aliens.
And coming soon - the VASA russian style spetznatz.

I just gotta recommend this store if you live outside UK:  - he deals exclusively in alternative minis and games. And he's got discount right now. You can see much more UW there.Kerberos Games

Nice! :D

I thought it was about time I gave some of my praetorians a paint job so I've begun painting one of my CI's and one Hellbore for my Cadian army.
Pics will follow tomorrow.

Cheers! :)

Formalities have been completed on getting a phone line and an internet connection, so I might just have it in time before Christmas.

I just placed a humongous order on miniatures through a Polish online store - that's more 40k minis then I have purchased up to date, totalling up at 2003 PLN sharp (that's somwhere around 500 USD or 300 GBP, give or take). For my standards, that's a real Primarchload. :p
Lots, lots of miniatures, including all the Space Marine Bikes I need for my Raven Knights, and quite a few other items.

Sadly, I just found out that I am not eligible for a credit card. To get one I'd have to have some constant income to my account - and that isn't going to happen in a while. So, as a result, at least for the time being, I will not able to order Daemonifuge: Heretic Saint or some of the Inquisitor miniatures I so hoped about getting my hands on (the local independent stockist cannot acquire them from GW either). :(
A Horseman does not surrender that easily, though, so I'll try a couple ways of circumventing the problem.

Here's the CI. I'm  bit dissapointed in the Forge World Decals I've used for the decoration. Especially the "Cadia" mark has a clearly visible edge around it...

WMN - I really like the effect overall, but yes those decal edges can be annoying.  In the past Ive covered the worst bts with weathering or damage.  The big eagles on the side are great though - no overlap on the creases between panels at all

..And here's the Hellbore. I had to use a lamp to get enough light for the pic (Damn these dark winther months!) so the red colour and shading on the Hellbore is all screwed up. I really got to get me one of those daylight bulbs Tuffskull uses! :blues:
