The basic Centurion system used hexmaps (there's some really odd interactions between grav vehicles and slopes that would be interesting to resolve without some really creative rules-writing).
Good Lord, I think I picked up the Renegade Legion games when they were discontinued!

Quote (Heresiarch @ 21 Nov. 2005 (15:38)) | Just out of question does anyone else here play Renegade Legion: Centurion besides me?
Well... aside from the fact it's been far too long since I played it but... it's probably one of my all time favourite sci-fi armour games. | Hi H.,
I played both Interceptor and Centurion back in the day.
Centurion is probably the finest combined arms sci-fi game ever made.
I really liked the neat armor templates although they did necessitate a lot of record-keeping.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Quote (Dwarf Supreme @ 21 Nov. 2005 (11:58)) | I pretty much stopped buying new games a few years ago. I finally came to the realization that it was really just a waste of money. At this point, the only games I buy anything for are Epic and Advanced Squad Leader. I have managed to talk myself out of buying more D&D supplements.
I'm also at that point where I have decided to unlaod a bunch of Avalon Hill games that I will probably never play again or won't miss. If anyone is looking for a specific AH game, let me know; I might be willing to part with it. | Hi!
Dump the AH games. I had a VAST collection of them. HArdly ever played them. The extra money is best used elsewhere.
Once upon a time, I probably bought or played every game that existed on the market at that time. Not surprising since I had my hobby store at the time.
But as time goes by you realize that there isnt much point in buying and buying when you hardly get to play what you buy.
Today I only buy what I know what I'll use. It means I save a lot of money (no more impulse buying), and am more focused on the few hobbies I enjoy.

LOL!
As for having too much games to play, there are two reasons why I keep buying new rules.
1) I'm still searching for the holy grail. I want to have a game (or two) I really like in every game scale from skirmish to division level. How am I supposed to find such games if I don't have a look at the rules? So far I think I've hit the jackpot with skirmish scale in sci-fi, fantasy, and WWII.
2) I actually like to read rules. I find a good wargames ruleset very enjoyable reading. And no, I'm not normal even otherwise.

Unnhhh... careful with this kind of statements... I could take them at face value

Ok, ok, now I'm feeling deprived of stuff... good grief, what is this, a kill-cure? | Something like that...
Mojarn, and these would be (although I have an idea)?
|
WWII: Battleground WWII. Just the right blend of detail & playability. For _my_ taste, that is. Any more detail and it'd be too much. A little less and I would miss something.
Sci-Fi: Warzone. VOR is not bad but for some reason I like Warzone more.
Fantasy: well, I'm still pondering over two rulesets, Warlord and Chronopia. Still, I probably need some change sooner or later.
