I'm just afraid of what people will say when the template is placed at the rear of the model... ?:80:

It just proves that 'nids can fall to grandfather Nurgle  :D .

Ones question on it having to touch the head.  If I build a biotitan that is articulated, and I can move the head (BIG IF) can I move the head to get a better shot?

Just gave it a quick read though.

Tyranis warriors:  Walker.  Interesting concept, since they are infantry, and only marshes and rivers are difficult terrain for them.  Also the rule states that some vehicles are walkers

Harriadans: 150pts.  yeah  :D .  Dead critical on a 5+ Boo.  :(

Dying WEs.  Shouild the hits they give when they die be MW?  They are very large, and heavy.  Also should the Harridan and Vituperator crash and hurt things.  possible use the orkasaures running amok to see where they crash.

Expectorator:  Should it have RA?  From the overminds comment in another thread, I think not, but what about the rest of you?

Exocrines and Haruspexi: walkers yeah  :D . (okay I'm not sure when this happnened but yeah anyway)

Haruspex: RA.  Very nice.  A reason to take it over carifexi.

Barbed Hierodule:  Wasn't it surpose to go up to 4DC to represent its inceased toughness?

Still about the hormie and rav (I'm not giving up) :D.
Hormie back to 20 and infiltrate.

Ravener 30cm move, without infiltrate. And LV stays.

Now hormagaunt is faster to assault (bounding leaps and all that). But Ravener is faster otherwise (as its fast in 40k as well).

But neither hormis nor raveners are faster than termigaunts in 40k, except on the charge - which is well represented already by infiltrate?

Thus my suggestion in the "are we a hoard (I mean horde) army".  That we use D6*[i]x[/x] pts worth of troops rather than using pips.  Thus there is a reason to spawn back hormies, since they are cheaper.

ON the opic of their cheapness I think they should go back to FF6+ and 10pts.  True they have living ammo, but their weapons range is half that of other races.

As it stands now, there is no reason to spawn anything else than ravs as long as there is them. And this is a major thing. As well as the units before had a different use. Now it feels like we have a better and worse version of the same unit. And basing move on 40k which does not have this characteristic (sp?) anymore is rather odd.

Well, with Raveners becoming LVs, they are more succeptable to more weapons.  If you want a pure infantry swarm, hormies are the way to go!  As well, you "bulk up" your formation with Hormies.  And, essentially, Raveners are the superior version of Hormagaunts, being the "bigger" Fast Attack choice, Warrior genus vs Gaunt genus.  I still take both units, and, facing another "horde" army like Orks or Chaos, I need all the bodies I can get!

I think Raveners do need infiltrators to represent their "tunnelling" ability.  We certainly can't have them teleport as a brood creature, so how else can we represent this?

The idea of bringing back things based on point values is intersting, but what do we make x?  10 definitely seems too low, at least compared to what one can spawn with the current system.

With the current point values are any of you tempted to take all Raveners for common broods?  I think I may try that just to see if it's a problem or not.

Termagants have shorter ranged, but more effective, weapons than Guardsmen, so I think FF5+ represents this well.  Technically devourers and spinefists (and various other bio-morphs, I see "toxin sacs" on them all the time!) could be in there too.  I know everyone thinks of Termagants as the Grots of the Tyranids, but, really, they're the basic Tyranid trooper, like a Guardsman or Ork Boy, and should have some decent stats for the points.

Well just give them worse move than Hormie. Perhaps hormie 20 and rav 15? Just to make them little different instead just a better version.

The only problem with this, and I do like the idea of differentiating a bit more between Hormies and Ravs, is that it makes it tougher to garrison Hormies.

I do like it though.
