Tas,
Let us know how it turned out. I have been thinking of using the "Simple Green" myself. I have heard it worked and would love to know first hand.

I am absolutely certain there should be a good "Soylent Green" joke to make, but darn if I can think of one.

Quote (MaksimSmelchak @ 16 2003 June,10:09) | I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but make sure you put a paper towel or napkin over the plastic models or they will have a tendency to float and not be fully submerged.
If they're not fully submerged, the paint tends to come off on one side, but... not the other! ?
The napkin will keep them down.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Great tip, thanks!

When I went to visit Signius, he used straight acetone. It's pretty toxic stuff, but I'm sure it does the job. I don't know if it would melt plastic, but I imagine so. It probably works really well on metals.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Acetone (nail polish remover is mostly acetone) works great on metal. However, I would not use it on plastic, it is too caustic for continued exposure, and may cause damage ...
