Hi. With less than one month to go until the end of this event, I would like to give it a final push to get as many entries as possible. I will be advertising the event in as many places as possible, and in the meantime Warmaster Nice has kindly put together a banner to help with the advertising. If anyone would like to help promote the event, it would be appreciated. If you own a web site, simply put the banner (attached here) on your site with the following link:
http://www.epic40k.co.uk/epicomms/ikonb ... ct=SF;f=19
If you dont have a web site, or even if you do, please get your entries in as quickly as possible. We have a few final weeks to make this the biggest event so far, and show that we continue to support the game, no matter what the climate.
Thanks.

Hi CS,
May I suggest that you get a headline put up on the Minitures page to advertise the event - its probably the largest general miiatures website online & you may reach a few people that are into epic, but not enough to be regs in our normal advertising haunts.
Nice Banner - I'll get one on the Mercenary Brush ASAP.

Sigh - can't put it up on the dept. website, I'm afraid, and anyway, only boring people visit it... I'll make up by trying to boost the number of weird entries.

What about the banner exchange? I recommend adding it to that click here.
I will of course add it to the EPICentre news - if you email Doug, incoming@netepic.org I am sure it will get into Incoming! too.

Hi!
It should be more widely advertised. I think the quality of the entries are getting better and better each year and the wider the reach of ads, the more people may potentially come in.

It can be easier if you are a member of a forum/website etc to get the stuff added.
I found last year trying to post news to different websites (and I remember Portent in particular) that sometimes they would only accept news from members (and then only if you had been a member for six months or had made 20 posts or something similar...)
With the plentitude of websites and forums out there it can make life easeir for CS and me if you tell others about the competition.
Please use the following text if needed. EpiComms Painting Competition 2005
The focus of the painting competition is to show the best in painting and modelling in Epic.
Access to the competition is via EpiComms www.epic40k.co.uk. Potential entrants to the competition need to complete some personal information before proceeding to the competition.
The closing date for entries to the competition is 30th November 2005. All competition entries received up to and including the closing date will be entered into the competition.
All entires must conform to one of the following categories:
1 - Epic Battleforce - Defined as a grouping of complete units (under any rules version) that must contain vehicles and/or infantry. It must contain at least 12 units (of any combination of infantry, vehicles, flyers and/or war engines). For example, your entry could comprise 12 stands of Tryanid infantry or could comprise 9 Leman Russ tanks with three BaneBlades.
2 - Single Titan ? Defined as a single Titan, Gargant or Bio-Titan.
3 - Single Unit - May be a single figure, infantry stand, flyer, tank or war engine.
4 ? Terrain ? May be scratch-built or painted commercial terrain, includes Objective markers.
5 - Open Category - Custom free-for-all, includes dioramas/battlescenes, Ork Airfields, etc?
There are prizes (OOP Epic for example) for the wining entries.

Also those posting suggestions (Andy Hall blog for example) please let me know the link or e-mail address as well, thanks.

No problem Jimbo - I'm posting to TMP today anyway about my last months updates on Mercenary brush, so will add another headline to Bill about the Epic Comp.
Since TMP headlines are delayed, I just wanted to make sure that you guys werent already planning to put one in & we'd end up with duplicates!

News Posted to TMP - expect an influx of hits to the boards in 2 days time when it will go up at http://theminiaturespage.com
I used Jimbos text & added the comp baner as a headline image. I avoided the use of any of the competiton entry pics for fear of implied favouritism
