Picked up a new avatar, the Ultramarines were always my favourite chapter and they were my first (small) Epic army. Just a pity I can't get my usual avatar (b/w Empire militia man) as it's not from a website, but my own modification and therefore only exists on my computer. C'est le vie  :-:

If you want somewhere to host your Avatar try boomspeed.com
it lets you sign up a 1 meg account that you can use to host sig images or avatars.
very handy and cool :cool:

Thanks for the info. I signed up and was all ready to go. Unfortunately I never got sent the validation e-mail. So, as its such a minor thing, I'll just be sticking with my existing avatar. On the bright side, a Space Marine is a step up from a lowly Empire militia man!

Hey Jackhammer, I didn't get one either, but if you go to the bit "click here if you have forgoton your name and password" then put your email in, they'l send you one then....
But you then have to HTML code it.... hehe I'm to lazy to bother :laugh:

Just to let people know, I was sent another few avatars. However, I have only just got around to adding them to the list. I appologise. There are now four for each of the three sites covered.

Custom avatars can be used. Look at mine. Doesn't get any more custom than that. :p

Custom avatars can easily be used, and I would recommend this (simply as some people recognise posters by pictures alone). I want to have a good range of quality avatars to choose from (and I think that we have that with signius providing admirably). If you want to use your own, you will need a place to store them online. You can then simply set a link to it in your control panel, personal info, avatars - near the bottom in the 'your avatar' box. Let me know if you need any help.

PS: I am always happy to get more avatars, and I dont think that there is a limit. If you are really bored, some smilies linked to 40K/Epic/Gothic would be great...  ???

They are 20x20, but I think that you can use whatever you like. Trouble is, if they are a different size, it screws up the allignment of the box on the left.
