CS,

Once again let me give you a hearty thanks for the hard work in restoring the forum. I do hope the old avatars return. I really like the dwarf avatar I selected.

I hope you can change the color. I'm not too crazy about the Codex Grey. I prefer the old blue background, but given the choice of either no forum or a restored forum with a grey background, you can guess what my choice is!   :D

Hi guys. I do plan on reinstating the blue colour scheme. It may not be this week, but I would like it back as I prefer it too.

Thanks.

CS,

One other thing I just noticed. When you search by "new posts," it doesn't show the new posts in chronological order with most recent at the top of the list.  ???

The problem is not a chronological issue as you may think.

The new posts link is working per visit, but does not automatically update as new posts are added as it did before.

This means you need to leave EpiComms to see if there are any new posts since you started browsing the forums. Before you could click new posts to see who was posting as you read.

If someone does post to a thread *already* in new posts, then in new posts the latest post will appear but not in chronological order, it won't move it to the top.

What you won't see are new new posts in existing threads or new posts.

Hi all - Good to be back.
Just one more voice to the big THANKS to Iain for al the hard work he's put in to re-instate the #1 epic forum we all love!

One other very minor thing I've noticed whilst I'm here; I tend to browse by opening each thread of interest in a new window. I susually do this simply by holding the shift key as I click a link - allowing me to load many threads at once.

When doing that here on the new boards, it does indeed open a new window with the thread init, but it opens the thread in theparent window too which is rather frustrating - cant think how it could be the boards, but it stillworks fine on all other sites!

Good work all round tho!

Are you sure that this is not your PC? It works OK for me. What happens for other people?

Quite possibly is my machine - but since the system seems to work on other sites, I thought I'd bring it up here.

No worries - its certainly not a big issue for my part.

I was more worried that it meant there might be a larger loophole inthe programming which was reulting in this minor glitch, but if its just me then forget i mentioned it  :D

Is it possible to change the "new posts" search back to the way it was? I find it easier to stay on top of new posts that way.
