It's amazing the amount of detail they can get into Epic scale these days!

Particularly on that small Guardsman figure that appears in many of the pics! :D

When you think about it, AFVs are amazing things. ? If you have never been around or in one, it's something to be next one of these beasts ! ? Whether the small Panzer I or massive Jagdtiger, both seen here, they are a bit awe inspiring. ?Even for me who spent sometime around them ... :;):

Hi!

I was particularly impressed by the Panther and T-34, I can well see why they frightened the enemy!'

Hi!

LOL!

Those "small guardsmen" cost more than the whole primarchload to maintain.....

..and almost impossible to get rid off....  :;):

From what started the war in '39 (Panzer I) to what ended the war in '45 (the Tiger series), is an amazingly fast development ... :D    As a young Infanty officer in training ('79), we'd crouch in a foxhole and an M-60 MBT would roll over us and we'd pop-up and practice firing a LAW at it's rear hull as it rolled over and passed us ... Very impressive ...   :;):

Thanks for sharing the pics primarch

Most excellant touch at the end to, lest we never forget those that are still on patrol, thank you.

Hey, where did you find those Epic minis you put in some of your pics?

Think the Pzkpw I is small, get next to an Italian CV-33, or a Polish TK-I, about the size of my old Monza Spyder dey is. Two man tankettes. For perspective they were about half the size of the Italian SEM assault gun in your photos (width and length), and just below the turret ring of the Pzkpw I in height.

Imagine riding around North Africa in one of those :o

Jaldon :oo

Patton's bio talks about that a lot, relating to his experiences at the first US Army Tank Regiment's CO in 1917-18.  Literally dozens out of his 100 or so were unavailable each day due to mechanical reasons.

Hi!

Thats what happened at Cambrai. MAny didnt even make it to the assault.

..and yet it was very successful, as was the initial blitzkrieg.

Well, being assigned as a Mech Bn and later a Mech Bde Maint. Officer for 18 months ... if it can't shoot, move and communicate ... it's a heavy metal paper weight !  Someone's got to be in charge of fixing the stuff ! :;):

Thanks for pics, Primarch! I'll post some of my own from our very own but unfortunately MUCH smaller armour museum.

And Vanvlak, that is Pz I. Not II.  :;):

The Pz III looked a bit strange, though. I wonder if it was a command tank?  ???

Id love to see whats in the Finnish Museum though - some rare types I imagine.

Let me know if you need some space to host the pics.

Here is two of me at the Bovington Museum a few years ago with 2 of my favourite pieces of WW2 hardware!
