Been on an accelerated pace.

One Battle Sister - ready for painting. Green-stuff-casted wings from the Space Marine Sergeant banner pole work great instead of standard SoB backpack vanes.

Had a little accident with my Callidus, as a result I'll have to re-do all the GS work on the neck.

Using "Chematic" modelling putty (this stuff is Polish attempt at producing a green stuff equivalent - promptly failed too - but it's much cheaper), I have prepared a base for Iron Angel. The basic surface is nearly done, including tire tracks and two mines (spiked balls that were part of the morgensterns on the Skeleton sprue), and a dead Chaos Space Marine is also there (how couldn't I add one?). I will also be adding a servo-skull somwhere there. The little bugger has been made with one skull from the Skeleton sprue, a bunch of misc bitz from my bitz box, an auspex taken from the Storm Claws box and an assortment of wire and guitar strings. Looks almost like GW.

The Iron Angel received some extra armor plating made from fine cardboard sealed with glue. It gives the miniature even stronger steampunkish feel - which only makes it better.

Some extra work will be neccesary on the right arm and the muzzle flash from the sides of the Bolter barrel, and I am also thinking to add two thick cables coming from the backpack to the back of miniature. Not yet sure, however, as to their exact placement.

WMN - whats the Banelord being converted to? ?I shudder to think... ?

*dum-ti-da-dum...* We'll it's nothing serious. I've covered the skin of the entire titan with green stuff and sculpted small screaming faces all over it. Also added a bunch of horns to get that "warped feel. Don't worry Tas. No chopping up perfectly good minis this time! ?I'll post a few pics in a couple of days. :;):

Can't wait to see this when it's finished!

Finished my Grendel and GZG giant mushrooms and now working Grendel craters with Necron-like crystals on the rims and bubbly, oozy stuff in the middle ! :)

Do Grendel and GZG have pre-formed giant mushrooms?

I've been looking for mushrooms (toadstool-style) in order to make a fungal forest for my ash waste terrain and they are surprisingly hard to find at toy or arts and crafts stores.

Been working on my Marine till 2 AM. Now that's definite proof I'm barking mad, since most of that time was spent on adding little screwheads and rivets to the armor (they add to the techno-medieval image a lot IMO). The marine himself is almost done, just got to model muzzle flashes on the sides of the Bolter and reposition the backpack (putting the model together yesterday showed the the pack is leaning to the left - doesn't look pretty.

The "hoses" concept has been dropped for that one, but as I have several more Iron Angel suits in plans, I'll probably use it for one or two of them.

GS-ing on the head of the dead CSM has been finished, looks really bestial and gruesome now. Rest of his corpse is still waiting for my attention
The servo-skull got some GS too, to combine a mechanical part on the cranium (formerly part of an auspex) and the cranium without leaving gaps. The wires are an annoyance now, tho.

Finished the GS needed for the Sister Superior to get rid of the gap between backpack and torso, she's ready for painting now.

More rivets. I think I'll have to re-do some of those I did the bay before, tho. But the Iron Angel is going forward well.

I think the next IA miniature will be designed with ABC warfare in mind, just for purpose of trying out what can I do.
