A good read story - revisits some of your Medieval history lessons and adds a few more details to it as well. I enjoyed it

Quote (Dwarf Supreme @ 12 2005 July,20:40) | The Da Vinci Code is on my list of books to read, also. | Read it whilst on holiday in Spain. Its a really great page turner- very hard to put down. I really liked the stuff about the Priory of Sion and the Knights Templars.
Just remember to say to yourself "this is a work of fiction" and it is a right good read. Start thinking that it is non fiction and that events really happened...... Cheers
James

Yes, I saw some of the History Channel show about. And while surfing the official Hammer's Slammer's site, I saw there will be a second handbook released; "Hammer's Anvil" ! Can't wait to get that. I sent Tas the site, if he reads this he may post it, if we're nice !

We call ours "Shelldrakes", "9 mile snipers" or less politely "Drop-Shorts" (for the particulalry nasty effect an Artillery round has when the balliastics are incorrectl calculated and it drops short of its target...and lands on friendly troopers)
My contribution to the today's useless fact archives !

Hmmm....anybody ever read this: THE FOUR DEUCES: A KOREAN WAR STORY. CS Crawford
I picked up this about 15 years ago, read it several times. Very good book...and discusses the 'short rounds' also.

If "Books on Tape" count, I'm currently "reading" ?Salem's Lot during my commute to/from work.
Just finished reading Iron Hands last night. I enjoyed it. Now, which book on my long list of "must read" do I selct?

Of course...Not related to modeling but HP just came out...Picked up my copy last night at midnight...
Then again it is kinda related because I have a friend who named one of her Greenskin army Giants "Hagrid"...
