Hi!

This ends this installment.

The painters tells me a next shipment of over 10 IG tactical companies will make its debut.

It will be a sight to see.

The Primarchload strikes again!!! :D :D :D

Lovely stuff. I really must get some of those FW bombers at some point. Also the new vindicator is beginning to take my fancy. This version actually looks like it is capable of housing the shells for the main gun.

Cheers! :)

Hi!

Kinda funny how some models grow on you after a while.

I agree that the new vindicator is robust enough to look the part it is supposed to do.

Hi!

I'm really learning a lot from your articles on taking pictures. I have learned how important lighting is....  :;):  :)

Your pictures are excellent, I like the fact that you do large overviews which really give a feel for the epic nature of Epic.

I also like the close-ups which are not too close and are well composed so you can see the real detail of the models.

I also just like the pictures, I really like seeing photographs of well painted miniatures.

Excellent stuff, glad the articles helped.

Lighting is certainly one of the key factors, and one of things I like about the summer months is I can use natural light.

Hi!

I agree, I try to use natural light whenever possible. The dining room has a window which permits it to hit the table full on, but I need to know what time of day to do it, which is around noon. If the time of day is not right I use some lighting (not professional grade but sufficient) and also NOT use flash, which is a mistake I used to make.

Also, I have learned to effectively use the macro and take close ups that take detail and dont come out blurred.

Your articles are VERY informative and I constantly refer to them to try to take good photos. I'm glad you approve and that at least I have learned the basics. :)

Master,

Your "Shock and Awe" campaign has been universally successfull with this apprentice!

I agree with the comments on the pics- very nice and the overveiw/closeup style works very well.  I particularly like the gritty field colours of the IG stuff.

You have shown me the door Master, I try to walk the path...  :D

Hi!

I must lead by example my apprentices! :)

Consider this sessions as my method to inspire all for even greater efforts in search of the primarchload!

However every shipment I get makes me wonder how many points I have. I realized that my old estimate of around 800k may be woefully inadequate. Trouble is I have no idea on how much its exactly. I can't get an exact inventory becuase large amount of minis are at the painters. I once estimated that my largest army the IG may be around 150k, but I realize that didnt factor in more recent models from SG and FW. Who knows how large it is?

The case is that is will be YEARS before its all "done". The first two armies at the painters (IG and SM) have been almost 3 years in process and I think it will probably take 4 to complete. There are around 8-9 armies to do, so years, definitely years.

I've decided the next army to send to paint when the time comes is the Tau. I beleive I have hit 100k of them, although I havent checked in a while. I guess I'm waiting for more models to flesh out the line.

Then again no one said a primarchload was to be easy. :D

If it was easy then anyone could try it!

Truely that is an amazing collection.  I would consider that it would have to be the world's largest Epic collection, but that would be impossible to confirm.  I would think that it eclipses even the GW collection.

You have again reaffirmed your premacy!

Once again, you have shown why you are the Master and I am but an Apprentice.

They do look so good though.

Massive Air Power.
