It seems that Fanatic is releasing a starter bundle for the Marines, IG and Orks. (A good thing IMO) However I sure hope there's some error in the pricing for the Ork stuff: ? 99999.99 seems a bit on the expensive side... ?:p

Cheers! ?:)

They just want the Orks to fail to sell so they can kill them off the way they did the Squats. :p

Heh.  I opened the link.  It's listed as 76GBP in the description and that's the same price as the total of the components.

I will never understand why GW builds package deals without any sort of discount of bonus built in.  If I'm going to buy a big lot of toys without a discount, I'll pick out my own mix and get exactly what I want.

Back when EA was first released, the Troll magazine in the US had starter packs for the armies that went from ~1500-3500 points - small, medium, and large.

I bet their thinking is that if someone wants a "starter army", he must need everything so the player doesn't need to pick and choose. You're right about the discount; seems to be that would be a good incentive to sell more minis to boost epic profits. Wait, what am I thinking!  :p  I'm applying normal marketing strategies to GW! Silly me!    :D

It was there earlier. Perhaps they deleted the starter armies so that they could fix the price.

Largely, yes. :-: At times I wouldn't mind knowing how GW think...but then again, maybe that would merely drive me insane  :p

There really are times when I wish I knew what GW was thinking. It might explain a lot. I know it probably wouldn't, but you never know!   :p

Speaking of Orks... talked to Trolls yesterday ... no word on the F/Ork release ?!?!  They just don't seem to know ?  Said all S/G stuff is on hold ?! ???  And BTW the, "Jeb and Jethro", ie.- the I.T. guys in Memphis, Tn, the site of the G/W US Warehouse, still have not fixed the computer glitch, so we can order the E:A Firestorm ! :o  Not too many computer experts in the "old rural South", it appears !        Long live the South ! :p
