Hi Iain,

You mentioned that any champion interested should start a new thread... here it is!

I think we should name the new board:

"Unofficial Epic-Armageddon Playtester's Discussion Boards!"

And underneath that area, there could be a separate topic for the army champions requesting a playtest area.

I would like a topic there for E-A Tyranid Playtesting called "E-A Tyranids."

Not that I'm going to have much time to contirbute to playtesting, but I imagine we will want a topic for each playtest army.

I'd say let the champions request them as needed.  I'm pretty sure many of them have the technical know-how to set up their own systems elsewhere if they prefer.

Thanks for your post, Maksim. I was considering the possibility of creating a new 'playtest' section, and giving any Champion that wanted it an entire board to play with. One thing that I not sure about is exactly how the new SG Forum will cope with the playtesting. It seems that discussion will occur, but I am still not sure whether this will be as it was before, or whether this 'new rules discussion' is now out of bounds. I dont want to jump up and suggest alternatives if the SG board will do the job well - but on the other hand this board is here for the good of the community, and if it could be useful then that is great.

I aso got the message about the Chaos development list. I dont want to just set up boards that are potentially not required, but any Champion who asks will certainly be able to get one. Am I correct in assuming that any new playtesters boards will operate in the same way as the rest of the boards here, and have no special rules (at least initially)?

Sorry that this has taken longer than I thought (the g/f's sister arrived on Monday - so much shopping!). Anyway, there is a new section of these boards (Epic Armageddon Focus HQ) for any discussions on the playtest lists. In this section, there is a new board (EA Tyranids) for Maksim and all to use for discussions on the development of the Tyranid army list for EA. Maksim, let me know if you need anything else.

neal - If/When you would like the same, feel free to drop me a PM and I will add a board for you.

Is there a need for a 'General playtest discussion' board? Most of this could go in the 'Wargames > Epic Armageddon' area, but if there is a burning need for a cross-army discussion board then I could set it up... of course, it may require us to host more than one playtest board here first.  :D
