There are definitely credability issues at stake here, espcially in my supervisory capacity:
To my inner circle of friends...well they know or play with me!
To everyone else, I am discrete to the point of secrecy
I dont deny the inner geek, I just keep him beneath a few layers

This is a good point. I try to hold back the geek when at work. It helps me keep the fear higher that way.
When dealing with Sharks, Tigers, or Lawyers, it is always good to keep the level of respect high. If not...  
But at home or with my friends, I care not what strangers think.
