Hi Guys,
I am still learning the game and have started to use my Eldar, as they are Ulthwe I am using the NetEA list ( although I get the impression Biel Tan might be easier to learn with).
Ulthwe list 2, 3000 POINTS Ulthwé Craftworld (NetEA Army Compendium v20120208) ==================================================
GUARDIAN WARHOST (MOUNTED) [350] 4 Wave Serpents, 7 Guardians, Farseer
GUARDIAN WARHOST (MOUNTED) [350] 4 Wave Serpents, 7 Guardians, Farseer
BLACK GUARDIAN WARHOST (MOUNTED) [400] 6 Guardians, 2 Farseer, 4 Wave Serpents
SWORDS OF VAUL TROUPE [250] 5 Fire Prism
SWORDS OF VAUL TROUPE [250] 5 Fire Prism
WAR WALKER TROUPE [150] 4 War Walker
RANGER TROUPE [100] 4 Ranger
REVENANT TITANS [650] 2 Revenant Titans
WINDRIDER TROUPE [200] 6 Vyper
AVATAR [0]
GUARDIAN WARHOST [250] 7 Guardians, Seer Council
WRAITHGATE [50]
The idea is that the three mounted warhosts can move forward and combined engage (although I am still not sold on this idea). The two lots of Fire Prisms can hang back and shoot up tough formations. The Vypers are there to speed round and hopefully survive long enough to grab an objective.
The Warwalkers can be a pain along with the rangers.
The Warhost that isn't mounted can come out of the Wraithgate.
The Revenants are there for fire support.
Does this seem like a reasonable list or have I missed something major with the Ulthwe list? Like I said I am new to Eldar and still relearning the game.

I would switch fire prism for standard 3 falcons, 2 firestorms for AA.
And maybe 4 jetbikes and 1 Vyper?

Hmm would you do that with both Fire Prism units or just one. Yeah I guess I had neglected the AA a bit.
With the Vypers I just thought that it would be good to give them some range, they only lose out on one point of FF but I should be able to keep them out of harms way.
Thanks btw

You are spending quite a lot on mounted infantry? Wave Serpents are great but expensive. Two things that leap out are 1) no air and 2) no artillery.
You need some sort of air attack, air assault or teleport to deal with gunlines. They'll just mow you down. Swooping Hawks? Vampire with aspects or guardians? Phoenix bombers?

Thanks for the feedback. I wanted some air in there but with the revenants there is not much room for anything other than Nightwings or a Vampire. I was tempted to give a Vampire a go. But what to have in it?
Thanks Rug will definately increase the AA in the army. May drop the fire prisms altogether and just have two of the Falcon/firestorm formations.
Im not sold on Rangers as they are such a small formation and don't seem to be able to dish much out at all.
From the Bat Reps that I am reading Engagements certainly seem the way forward. Where as a lot of the games of Epic that I have played so far have been a bit of a slug fest.

Interesting very interesting. This is why I need more games, have really under appreciated both Scout and Sniper.
The list may under go a bit more of a change as I can't seem to find a bag of Wave Serpents that I have somewhere. Need to think of a good proxie for the firestorms and the Storm Serpent.
Thanks for all of the feedback btw.

Ok so played a game with my Ulthewe at the weekend and it was quite interesting.
I only had one Guardian formation in Wave Serpents. Then two more off table and one of Black Guardians, the idea was to sue the Storm Serpent and Webway Gate to deploy. The Seer Council was in WS formation.
Aside from that the list was similar to the above, but on advice I took two Ranger formations (and yes I found them useful).
The game was very useful as it showed me a different style of playing EA. I assumed that Eldar would be very fragile so wasn't sure if the list would work well. While there were some drawbacks and mishaps, I found the Eldar to be able to dish out some good damage and still take a bit of a pounding. Wraithguard in Guardian formations was a useful addition.
I am going to try the list with out any changes for a few more games and then may change the list.
So thanks for the advice :-)
