Thoughts?

I like it. I tend to add in a couple of formations of night spinners to increase my shooting and have more than one Farseer. Plus when you buy a farseer you get an extra stand as he counts as a unit and not a character.

I had a second Farseer, but it made for two identical highest cost units which I thought was to be avoided. I thought about Night Spinners, but prefer using them in a list with the Void Spinner.

Also, as an aside, the current army forge list is using 12 Rider strong Jet Bike formations, I think the current Codex is 9 strong, and you can't add/exchange Vypers.

That's a pretty decent list right there. I like it! Do your mounted aspects have an Exarch? I'd definately try to find 25 points from somewhere for the Exarch.

I realize that some lists will give this one fits, but it seems like it may work.

Also I question whether or not I should be using Vypers and if so, what is the right mix.

Also is it better to have a Farseer in my BTS or the Chieftain?

Yeah, Vypers are nice. They can add blast markers to units, allowing your BTS to prep and set up to support an engagement. They've also got a slightly better armour save, so i tend to put them towards the front in an engagement.

I'd keep your farseer in the BTS. He can summon the Avatar which'll be handy if your BTS comes under the hammer and he's also less useful than the supremem commander in an army of 2+ activating units with next to no leaders. Since your BTS tends to come in for more fire than other units, I'd say you've got it bang on there. That should be a really cool army list to play.
