I've played 2 games against eldar with my vraks renegades. The eldar titan (their version of a warlord titan) with the holofield is driving me crazy. I pump tons of firepower into it, and it seems to shrug everything off with the 3+holofield/5+armor. It's fast and a beast at both range and in CC. I may be just unlucky (the titan seems to make most of it's holofield saves and I can't pull off a critical hit to down the holofield), but I need some advice for dealing with these.
I've been thinking about running an Emp. Children army, so the disrupt weapons may break it even if it makes its saves. With it's high movement though I doubt I can keep it in range for long.
I would appreciate any thoughts on dealing with this- either in general or using your specific army units. Thanks.

Crossfire is one of the best way's of getting shots through holofields (not easy to pull off but very effective). This drops the saves to 4+holofield/6+armour.
Disrupt attacks have little effect on holofields, there's no extra BM if the holofield makes it's save. If the shot goes past the holofield and an actual armour roll save is made then the disrupt BM would be added.
My general tactic when facing Phantoms or Warlocks (or any big titan) whichever force I'm using is to try to take out the smaller/easier to destroy formations and then gang up on the big guy's if there's time left in the game.

With a Vraks army, I'd be tempted to shell it into submission with Minotaurs.
A couple of squadrons of Minotaurs should put 4 BM's on it at minimum, and might even do some damage. It should be very near to breaking at that point.

BMs - it only takes 6 to break the thing. Like Dave says, if you take out the smaller fms then an army consisting of an 850pt titan is going to be a bit short on activations. It's relatively simple to pile on 6 BMs and break it. Crossfire is also your friend (Again, much easier to accomplish once you've taken out some of the smaller blocking units like Rangers and have an activation advantage).
While you're trying to do this you either need to block it in with small, scout units or just avoid the thing altogether.

the only time I go after it is with the ulani and their sniper tanks, otherwise leave it a alone untill you kill the smller stuff then you can keep it suppressed easily enough
