QUestion is, how much is a supreme commander worth, I have been lookijg at several of the EpicUK varient lists and often the cost of the supreme comander comes out at 100 pts. take the ulani tank commpany, regimental HQ is 100 pts more expensive than IG tank company, ergo the supreme commnader add 100 pts to the list, the same applies to some of the varient list for Eldar where for both iyanden and ulthwe the supreme comander upgrade is 100 pts, this feels a tad too high for me, considering some armies get them for free. So is 100 pts too much for the SC considering that not having it gets another formation, and why the disparity in lists, in biel tan you pay 75pts and get inspiring and autarch cc attachs in ulth we you only get an extra FF attack and yet it costs 100 pts

SC's are worth more or less dependent on context. To be absurd, SC's are worthless in a list with all its formations having initiative ratings of -6+ !
To Orks, the free SC is very important as they have a poor initiative rating, but it's not charged for as the list doesn't work to its full potential without one present, marine SC's are worth 100pts as despite their low initiative ratings the marine army is brittle and relies on retaining actions to win, etc.
Most lists do charge about 100pts for SC's but it's not an absolute valuation that can be applied to all lists.
My guess at your specific example is that list constraints like less farseers or more engagement options or something makes it harder to retain so the SC ability becomes more useful in context, and so worth more points.
Also, EUK has a tendency to make somewhat underpowered variant lists, so as not to upset the status quo, and this may affect their design choices.

Well, it's usually 50pts, most often on top of another character. That's how Marines, most Eldar (Autarchs), Necrons, AMTL, Dark Eldar and Inquisition do it.
IG pay 100, but the character is significantly increased, +1AV, +1CC, +1FF, +1EAMW. Iyanden and Ulthwe pay 100, but also get a little extra (Iyanden get to put it in a Fearless 4+RA Wraithguard, and Ulthwe get RA and the +1EAMW).
So I wouldn't really say 100 is the standard. But it's not unprecedented.

you may think 100pts is alot until you roll that dreaded 1 on a activation you need to clinch the game and use your reroll, then you shall be thanking the gods and scoffing at the mere thought of a 100 points. lol But seriously SC's well worth there points, i never play with out one.
