Going the ATSKNF route is ok because ATSKNF is an army wide special rule not a unit's special ability. The problemis: Not all World Eaters formation are made entirely out of Stubborn/Tenacious units.

That is correct. Unless of course the NETEA decided to relegate Fearless to an ability like Stubborn that we are currently using, and in this case, all units would be re-evaluated and we should find that automatons only receive Fearless.

In that world however, which makes sense to me, we may just have pigs that fly, Marines prices appropriately, a Necron list that everyone agrees with, and a company that provides a new and strong product support for its specialist games. Until that time, we do the best we can with what we have...

I would avoid writing two abilities into a single rule.

Your "whatever" rule currently has two abilities, so I would suggest making two rules to seperate the two abilties.

This is not a bad idea. *Edit: Being considered along with what E&C posted*

The only query I have however is if the rule is to be used across lists. Would it not be best to designate a skill?

The Blood Rage rule is uniquely World Eaters. I am not sure whether the Stubborn substitute should be also.

In a perfect world i would come to grips to actually find the words to write down all the stuff i have floating in my head to create BLEpic and people would actually start to play it in order to test if it is good instead of just ignoring it and/or bitching about it  :grin:

This thread is a perfect example of the problems with collaborative list design. Pages of equally good suggestions for the name of a special rule, not even the rule itself, but no consensus.

It doesn't matter, pick one and move on.

Frenzied would seem better than Frenzy, IMO.  After all, they're, well, frenzied.  

Tenacious is good, and I like it, but it's suggests holding on in the face of losses, rather than ignoring them.
