As others have mentioned, you should try to avoid having two most expensive formations if at all possible, as it makes it more likely the enemy will score his BTS objective. As IG have initiative 2+ it would be best to include a regimental HQ for the very useful once a turn re-roll when you fail to activate a formation. Optimally it would be better to have 9+ formations too, as otherwise your opponents will likely out activate and out-maneuver you (9-11 activations are generally used at 3k and certain lists/builds go up to 12-14ish). You should always have at least one scout unit generally and definitely if you have a fragile unit like artillery, or the artillery will quickly get wiped out by the likes of teleporting Terminators or an air assault.

You have chosen a good selection of unit choices, but probably slightly too many of the good/expensive units - in order to keep your activation count up (which you'll come to realise is important as you get into playing) you could do with taking slightly more cheaper units. Which of the expensive units you drop is more of a matter of personal preference and you'd probably be best off varying it from game to game to see what you find works best for you.

You might be better having a single Baneblade and a single Shadowsword rather than the company of 3 - the two types want to target different things. However doing that then takes you down to only 2 companies, which wouldn't be enough to allow you to take the numbers of support formations you have. You could re-jig things round to take an infantry company as a third company possibly. Tricky to know quite what to suggest. Thunderbolts are a good option because they're cheap at 150 and because they don't count towards your support slots, so you could take 2 companies, plus 4 support formations, 2 titans and the planes and have 9 activations. You could also drop one of the ground Hydras then too as Thunderbolts plus 2 Hydras would probably be enough AA.

That looks pretty good. There is still room to eek out more activations however. Think of it this way: your reg hq is 50pts shy of a warlord titan. Those mechanized formations are pretty useful without a lot of upgrades, so you could add in more sentinels (or better yet, rough riders if you have them - those actually have offensive potential in addition to being scouts) to beef up your scouting screen and up the activation count. Also, those two mech companies have a LOT of units. Since the chimera should stay out of dangerous terrain, they might get pretty unwieldy on a board with a normal amount of obstacles on it.

Personally, I'm not a fan of single baneblades and lots of warhounds in an IG list, but I think they'll work well in your area's meta-game.

I'd swap one of the Baneblades for a Shadowsword, as it's titan killing abilities are very useful. Otherwise that looks to me like a good list. Hope you have fun playing it!

He's already paid for Chimeras for the Ogryns.

I also make it as 50pts short of 3k.
