While work on my Ultra Marines is on schedule, I though why not start thinking about the next project. :)

Heres the list:

3000 POINTS
Tau Third Phase Expansion (6.6 / NetEA Tournament Pack 2013)
==================================================

FIRE WARRIOR CADRE [450]
10 Fire Warriors, 5 Devilfish, Skyray

FIRE WARRIOR CADRE [325]
6 Fire Warriors, 3 Devilfish, Skyray

CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE [350]
4 XV8 Crisis Battlesuit, Shas'o

CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE [250]
4 XV8 Crisis Battlesuit

PATHFINDER GROUP [200]
4 Pathfinders, 2 Devilfish

STEALTH GROUP [225]
6 XV15 Stealth Units

ARMOUR SUPPORT GROUP [300]
4 Hammerhead gunship, Skyray

SKYSWEEP SUPPORT GROUP [250]
3 Skyray Gunships

KROOT KINDRED [175]
Kroot Master Shaper, 9 Kroot Warriors

RECON SKIMMER GROUP [175]
4 Tetra, 2 Piranha

ORCA DROPSHIP [150]

BARRACUDA SQUADRON [150]
2 Barracuda Fighters

Is this too heavy on the skyrays? The only thing worring me about the list are armour heavy opponents. Do you think that would be a viable list? Any input from experienced players would be much appreciated! :)

Seems like a rather good start to me. I don't think you need 6 skyrays though.

My advice would be to drop the skysweep formation. Instead take one more recon. That leaves 75pts. I would use those points to beef up the Shas'o formation. You could add one more units of suits (50pts) and 2 gun drone units (25pts). That gives the SC formation more resilience and break/suppress resistance.

Thanks for the input.

I also just realized that I can only transport one of the Crisis Formations with the Orca, must have looked at the Manta line while writing the list. As another change I added more krooty goodness :) and also for a change I went with a little bit more airpower since most of my armies have rather few aircrafts.

So heres the adapted version:

3000 POINTS
Tau Third Phase Expansion (6.6 / NetEA Tournament Pack 2013)
==================================================

CRISIS BATTLESUIT CADRE [425]
5 XV8 Crisis Battlesuit, Shas'o, 2 Gun Drone units

FIRE WARRIOR CADRE [500]
10 Fire Warriors, 5 Devilfish, Skyray, Ethereal

FIRE WARRIOR CADRE [325]
6 Fire Warriors, 3 Devilfish, Skyray

PATHFINDER GROUP [200]
4 Pathfinders, 2 Devilfish

KROOT KINDRED [225]
Kroot Master Shaper, 9 Kroot Warriors, 3 Kroot Hound Packs

KROOT KINDRED [175]
Kroot Master Shaper, 9 Kroot Warriors

RECON SKIMMER GROUP [175]
4 Tetra, 2 Piranha

ORCA DROPSHIP [150]

BARRACUDA SQUADRON [150]
2 Barracuda Fighters

ARMOUR SUPPORT GROUP [400]
6 Hammerhead gunship, Skyray

TIGER SHARK SQUADRON [275]
2 Tiger Sharks, 6 Gun Drones

I think Ill start with that as a base to build on.
