Listing something rare at £75 and sticking at that price until it sells is an entirely different business model to listing something you bought last week at 99p and taking advantage of people mistakenly believing it's no longer in production. Strange that you think the first is less acceptable than the second, but to each their own! If the seller doesn't know/suggest that the models are OOP then I would agree with you.

Personally I have no real problem with either - both add value (making things available that people either can't buy or don't know that they can buy). Without these sellers, people simply would not get the models they want, when they want them. I personally would draw the line at lying about the availability of the model (which elsmore is not doing - he says they aren't available to buy on the website, which is true) but that's just my perspective. To be safe I would probably either be totally honest and say they're available over the phone, or not mention it at all. Again, just my perspective and I don't mean to be judgemental or offend anyone.

The point I was making in my previous post was just that if I were selling items using either of the above business models then I wouldn't be attacking others for doing something similar, is all ;) In any case, for all I know he wasn't even selling Warhounds at the time of the post.

I agree with Kyrt - while we all want to sell to other hobbyists that will treasure our models like we do, we still want as much money for them as we can, otherwise we wouldn't be selling them on eBay. If resellers want to bid up my items and take on the risk that they might not resell them for some time, I'm happy with that. I made some money and cleared out some space. It happened once to me when I sold all my old 90's cassettes - there's no way I would have got what I did selling them in bulk if a reseller hadn't bought them and I didn't have time (leaving a country) to sell them individually.
