Tried out another LatD Redux build today against Norto. This time it was Mechanized Coven spam since that had come up in discussions before. Heres the list:

Necrons teleported in monoliths close to my deployment zoone and put the pylons spread out to cover the board. I teleported in 1 set of zombies to screen on of his monolith units (getting 13 zombies on the roll!)

TURN 1: Necrons wins initiative.

N: Pylon Marshalls and fires on coven for 1BM
N: Warriors tries to retain but holds.
C: Coven summons 5 demons and engages monoliths. After 2 rounds of combat the coven wins killing 1 monolith for the loss of 1 flamer.
N: Warbarque Marshalls and fires on same coven killing 2 stands (3BM).
C: Coven Holds and regroups.
N: Monoliths engages zombies killing 5 and wins the combat.
C: Coven doubles with the help of the SC and fires on Pylon for 1BM.
N: Pylon goes on OW.
C: Doomwings round atatcks pylon. 1 gets shot down by AA. The Pylon breaks.
N: Warriors engages coven out of monolith portal killing 4 land transporters, 1flamer and 2 stands for the loss of 1 stand. The warriors win the combat.
C: Coven doubles and fires on broken pylon for no effect.
N: Flayed ones engages broken coven from monolith portal wiping them out for no losses.
C: Doomwings ground attacks broken pylon for no effect.
N: Wariors engages broken zombies from Warbarque portal killing 3 and wins the combat.
C: Coven marches across the board.
N: Flayed ones engages broken zombies out from monolith portals killing 2 and winning the combat.
C: BTS-Coven goes on OW by LatD blitz.

C: Doomwings stand down.
N: Monoliths near necron blitz marshalls.
C: Doomwings stand down.
N: Warbarque engages coven killing 3 stands for the loss of 1DC and wns the combat.
C: Doomwings ground attacks monoliths by necron blitz for 1BM.
N: Monoliths in forest advances thru forest loosing 2 units to DTT:s. The lone monolith shoots at coven for 1BM.

N: Warriors retains and engages same coven killing 6 stands and 3 transports for the loss of 1 stand. The coven is wiped out in resolutoin.
C: Doomwings ground atatck pylon. 1 plane gets shot down and the pylon gets a BM.
N: Warbarque aded and fires on coven killing 1 tand breaking them.
C: Doomwings ground attacks pylon breaking it.
N: Monoliths doubles and fires on coven for 1BM.
C: Doomwings ground attacks BTS-Warriors killing 1 stand (2BM).
N: BTS-Warriors marshalls

My thoughts:

Zombies saved the day! Thoose annoyinh undead draw so much of the necron agression in the beginning it was crazy! And they still survived. Norto rolled pretty bad in akmost every assault also. But Necrons is a hard list to face when you don't really know how they play. This LatD build was interesting but can already be dne in the earlier version of the list. Against necrons it wasn't as effective since they just disappear in thin air quite often.
