Another game with Norto trying the NetEA Skitarii list.

The initial setup was this.
I garrisoned all the 3 robot formations putting both Crusader units on OW. The rest of my force castled up in side the scout bubble in one half of the board.
Norto garrisoned his genestealers in a central forest and also deployed the rest of his army in the same half as mine. This was going to be bloody...

TURN 1: Tyranids win initiative.

T1.1: Harridan douvbles forward and fires on crusaders for 1BM.
S1.1: Spaceship activates and fires on both Harridans. Both take 2DC each and break.
T1.2: Dominatrix swarm doubles forward and fires on collosus robots for 1BM.
S1.2: Crusaders Holds (even with the help of the SC reroll) and clears their BM:s.
T1.2: Swarm Marches forward.
S1.3: Crusaders goes on OW.
T1.4: Swarm doubles forward.
S1.4: Collosus robots Marshalls and fires on garrisoned Genestealers for 1BM.
T1.5: Swarm Marches forward.
S1.5: Hypatists sustains with the barrage missile on both genestealer fromations breaking them (2 genestealers die in one formation and another in the second).
T1.6: Swarm doubles forward.
S1.6: Minoris Co sustains on swarm in front of them killing 2 carnifexes and 1 hive tyrant (4BM).
S1.7: Avengers ground attacks broken Harridan for no effect.
S1.8: Warhound advances into forest and fires on swarm killing 5 stands of critters and breaks the formation.
S1.9: Sagitariis advances.
S1.10: Sagitariis marches.

END PHASE:

Harridan fails to rally.
Harridan rallies.
Genestealer rallies.
Genestealer rallies.

Trygons tunnels into central forest.
TURN 2: Skitariis win initiative.
S2.1: Crusaders doubles forward to ZoC Dominatrix swarm and fires on it for 1BM.
T2.1: Genestealers engages crusaders and wipes them out for no losses.
S2.2: Avengers ground atatcks swarm killing 2 hormagants (1BM).
T2.2: Genestealers holds and breaks.
S2.3: Minoris Co advances and fires on genestealers killing 3 of them and the broodlord breaking the formation.
T2.3: Harridan advances and fires on Collosus robots for 1BM.
S2.4: Collosus robots advances and fires on swarm killing 1 Carnifex.
T2.4: Same swarm marshalls and moves forward.
S2.5: crusaders marches.
T2.5: Swarm doubles and fires on crusaders for 1BM.
S2.6: Warhound advances and fires on swarm killing 3 stands of critters (1BM).
T2.6: Genestealers marshalls.
S2.7: Hypatists doubles forward and fires on swarm for 1BM.
T2.7: Swarm Marches forward.
S2.8: Sagitariis engages the same swarm killing 3 stands for the loss of 1 sagitarii. The Admech wins the combat.
T2.8: Dominatrix swarm takes the help of the SC reroll and doubles forward to fire on sagitariis for 1BM.
S2.9: Same sagitariis doubles and fires on Dominatrix for 1BM.
T2.9: Trygons amrches down close to Skitarii blitz.
T2.10: Trygons doubles forwards.

END PHASE:

Harridan rallies.
Swarm rallies.
Genestealers fail to rally.

Lictors teleport in behind Hypatists near skitarii blitz with 1BM.
TURN 3: Skitariis win initiative.

S3.1: Sagitariis engages trygons killing 1 and doing 1DC on another for the loss of 1 rapier. They win the combat.
S3.2: Warhound retains and engages Dominatrix swarm doing 1DC to a trygon for the loss of 2 shields. Looses the combat though and flees towards the middle of the deployment zone.
T3.1: Dominatrix engages Minoris Co with the help of the SC reroll. Wipes it out for no losses.
T3.2: Trygons retains and engages sagitariis. They manage to kill the minoris and 1 rapier for the loss of 2 trygons. The Sagitariis win the combat.
S3.3: Avengers ground attacks lictors for 1BM.
S3.4: Collosus robots retain with the help of the SC reroll and advances. They then fire on lictors killing 2 and breaks the formation.
T3.3: Swarm engages crusaders and kills 1 robot for the loss of 1 Carnifex. The robts win the combat.
S3.5: Sagitariis doubles and fires on swarm for 1BM.
T3.4: Swarm marshalls.
S3.6: Hypatists marches into central forest to deny both the DtF, TSNP and T&H objectives for the Tyranids.
T3.5: Swarm doubles and fires on same hypatists killing 1 hypatist stand (2BM).
S3.7: Crusaders doubles to Skitarii blitz and fires on broken lictors wiping them out.
T3.6: Harridan marches to Tyranid blitz.
T3.7: Harridan advances next to hypatists in forest and fires on them for 1BM.
T3.8: Genestelaers engages same hypatists in forest. they get wiped out by the Admech forces but kill 3 hypatists in return which is enough to break the formation.

END PHASE:

The Hypatists fails to rally....

....which means Tyranids win 2-0 (DtF and TSNP) in Turn 3.

Thoughts:

A very bloody game again. The Skitariis are really good when catling up and holding theirforces together. Sagitariis are excellent fire support in engagements and can also shoot very well. I would always bring 2 of thoose formations in any list for sure (with rapiers).

This was the fourth battle we played alternating being in charge of the skitariis. And this was also the fourth game the Skitarris lost....

I don't think i need to repeat what has been said about the list before.
