Hi All,

Well we manage another game of epic. It was 3000 point per side and it was between Skitarii Legion (2.05) and Tau Vior'la (1.8a Developmental)

Mathew played Tau Vior'la (1.8a Developmental) and I played the Skitarii Legion (2.05)

Good report! Looking forward to your thoughts on the WE battle suits. In the process of painting up a Tau Vior'la list. Though not using quite so many WE suits in my list but they seem potent.

My thoughts on the WE battle suits, and others may not agree..

KX139 Ta'unar Supremacy-It must have as far as I’m concern, mainly cause of the ID,IC and It allows the tau to place BMs on units that are out sight…The only down side is formation size, so placing them in cover and out LOS is going to be critical.. But in saying that I would look include two formations in a List….

KV128 Stormsurge-I guess they are useful, since they are one of the few ground units with a TK shot…Good for picking off single DC3 W/E….I’m not sure if I wold take them since well the riptide formation can put more Fire power out..

XV104 Riptide Formation- I know the KV128 Stormsurge has greater range, but I would take these guys over that formation, due to Fire power output. Also they have greater staying power, then the KV128 Stormsurge due to the numbers in the formation....

Just my 2 cents worth..

Oh sweet, GL on the campaign! We're on hold with ours ATM, but perhaps one day I'll recount the adventures of Robin the Unsoiled, Paladin of something and the Hand of Quaz.

The report looks very good. How you got those maps? While it is a bit hard to see the units sometimes they make the battle easier to understand and make mine pale in comparison, but mine weren't too good to begin with ...

Thanks PFE200, i supposed it was that but forgot the name. Have to try Vassal some time. Got the mod, which was hard to find as i have seen have it got a C&D from GW, now time to convince the group.

About the maps, well, they are incomplete and have many issues, apart from being quite bland and quickly done, as i only posted them as a first test. Glad the issues aren't obvious. Truth to be told, the only complaint i got amongst all the answers i got in the forums i posted it was the lack of photos, so i should be satisfied with it.
