Thanks for the report.

I would really like to see you drop one of the Cobras and take a Vampire Raider. This will give you the option to air assault with the Banshees. The lone Warhounds on the flanks would be very vulnerable to this type of attack.

Thanks for the report, I see you were testing both HBs and Cobras .

Next time, perhaps you could try the 2-3 Cobra singletons and 0-1 Cobra Pairs. As Tim says, this will give you further 'standard' formations which can be used to delay the point where the Cobras get to be used which in turn helps them play their game. They definitely need to keep hidden until you need to use them, and probably need to sit in terrain as much as possible. When you actually do get to shoot with them, perhaps you could also review what the results would have been for various stat options you want to consider (other than for the stats you have elected to try for the game).

The other thought is that the HBs would be best employed against the Warhounds, which they probably ought to destroy outright for no losses, rather than the Reaver which should survive their assault and then kill off most of them.

Finally, please make sure the AMTL player moves his titans into terrain each turn - it is what experienced players do and makes a huge difference to the way the Cobras work and to the game as a whole.

I agree that a lot of moves look a little weird (not optimal) in hindsight but that's how games are played. Sometimes you play against a beginner and sometimes against the world champion...

I also think the army build is a little strange if you want to try out the "new" Cobra. I have never seen anyone take 3 pairs in a single game. That is almost half the points and my experience is that to use the Cobra effectively you want to be able to out activate the opponent, but that was with the old stats :)
I'm I reading it right that you tried the MW4+ version this time? So those double moves against the titans was a 5+ to hit?

How would you rate your opponent? equal, better or beginner?
(It looks like he sometimes runs toward your D-cannons, stormserpents and aspects ;) But as I said in the beginning sometimes things make sense when you play but not when you read the report...)
