The concern our group has had, was not whether or not they're unbeatable, but whether or not they're balanced blind. A lot of armies have trouble with nothing but War Engines, and the Void Shields on top can be more than a little problematic. A lot of assault tactics fall to the wayside, as well.

Mebee a primer on how to defeat it, in more general terms, or a couple of BR's showing how it was achieved, with non-dedicated anti-AMTL forces, would quell voices of opposition?

Thanks for the report & I agree with your conclusions. From my point of view its good to see the AMTL winning as they don't do that well for me.

standard anti-AMTL tactics - shot the little things, BM the big things and feed them scouts. Run around and grab the objectives when they're not looking. Going toe to toe against big titans with infantry just isn't going to work, especially by shooting, as the Devs showed. The fact that the Warlord reached the Blitz is a big red flag - it shouldn't be allowed to get that far in 3 turns.

Truth be told, it did take it until turn 4 - we were at 1-0 on objectives after turn 3.

But yes, It should be relatively straightforward to at least keep a Warlord down to "engage+consolidate" speed by sacrificing units in front of it. Usually it's the Warhounds that go for the Blitz.
