A fourth turn win for the 'nids from last weeks game. The Dom scored a crit on a Decimator in the fourth turn which was pretty much the game. The 'nids won with T&H and DTF.

The SC takes out two DC of the Harridan.


The Feral engages the Harridan.


She breaks and falls back.


The Lictors engage the SC.


A rhino and Marine go down.


One lictor falls to return fire, but the SC is wiped out in the resolution.


The Blitz Marshalls again.


The Hell Talons strip Swarm 3 synapse and it breaks.


The Feral sustains on Swarm 2 and takes out 2 Brood and a Synapse.


The Dactylis sustain on the retinue and take out three Marines.


The Decimators advance on the BTS and blow apart some Brood again.


The Dominatrix doubles on the Defilers and takes one out.

It's a dog-eat-dog world, and I've got my Milkbone underwear on.

The Decimator crit was the game winner. Without that I wouldn't have be able to break them and it would have been just T&H.

The group feels that Lictors are too good, I'm going to try them with less attacks in the next iteration.

That's putting it mildly. If they make it to the board with there current stats again, I might drop my shoe on them. repeatedly. with my foot inside the shoe.

They ate my feral before it even had a chance to fight back. That just does not make sense. I'm not sure dropping the target's armor in an engagement with sniper is all that reasonable either - 6+ RA for a titan? Giving those things first strike is enough.

So the fact that the nid's should rarely, if ever, go first not enough to balance out the lictors?

If they are the only thing an opponent has to deal with immediately, they'll die. However, due to the low SR I've been trying to make it so the opponent has too many things they have to deal with come the new turn. The 'nids might loose one or two activations at the start, but if they have 4+ formations lined up for some hurt something will get through.

Matt had the Lictors, Dominatrix, Trygons and Harridan to worry about at the start of turn 2. He choose to save his SC and the Predators, that left the Lictors free to assault the Feral.

The two attacks just seem to be too much.
