Ok. I just played a 5k game today with me using Demiurg 4.0 vs main book Orks and there were some balance questions made about the Demiurg list.
As a note, for list building, I was working under the answer that I was given a while ago that the upgrade cost for Mole Mortars for the LGB formation was +25 for the whole formation not +25 per stand.
My list
Ironbreaker Brotherhood: Armsman Local, 3 Gorgons, Merchant Prince: 670 points. BTS for the army
Ironbreaker Brotherhood: Sandhog Local, 3 Gorgons, Legate Marshal: 545 points
Armsman Brotherhood: Ironbreaker Brotherhood: 450 points
Biker Brotherhood: 2 Trikes: 225 points
Biker Brotherhood: 2 Trikes: 225 points
Linebreaker Grand Battery: Mole Mortars, Mole Mortar Local: 350 points

Gyrocopter Squadron: 200 points
Gyrocopter Squadron: 200 points
Leviathan: 400 points

Cyclops: 500 points
His list.
10 Stompas: his BTS
Blitz Brigade: 13 Gunwagonz, 1 Zzap gun Oddboy, 2 Flakwagons
Big Mob: Transports. 2 flak wagons
Big Mob: Transports. 2 flak wagons
12 Dethkoptas
12 Dethkoptas
6 Stormboyz
Kult of Speed, 24 buggies
Kult of Speed, 24 buggies
9 Fighta Bommerz.
Terrain was a fair mix of hills and forests. Blitzkrieg objectives were roughly in the center of the board edge (about 40% down the line on each side.) My opposing side objectives were placed in a triangle near his blitz. His objectives were on the short board edges.
He garrisoned the stormboyz off one objective and the stompas off the other. I garrisoned one bike formation off the blitzkrieg to spread things up a little bit.
His deployment on the line was stretched out all over the board edge. This order. Board was a standard 8x4 table
Koptas, Bigmob, Kult of Speed, Blitz Brigade, Bigmob (Warboss), Kult of Speed, Koptas. All formations except for the blitz brigade were spread out to avoid my templates.
My deployment was more from about 40% from the left side to the right side of the board.
Steadholders, Leviathan, Mole mortars, Mole Mortars, BTS, Leviathan, Sandhog Formation, Cyclops, Foot formation, Bikes. Gyrocopters spread behind the mole mortars to try to get some AA cover.
I won first turn.
My first activation was to hit his stompas which were barely in range of one of the Mole Mortar companies and put 6 blast markers and killed 2 of the stompas. Passed the initiative. He moved up koptas on the left. I moved up the leviathan on the left and shot the stormboyz and killed 3, breaking them. He then brought in the aircraft to attempt to damage my BTS formation, hit once and the Gorgon saved. I attempted to move up one formation of gyros so they'd be able to get some shots off on the fightas on the move off the board and take a potshot at the stompas. They failed the activation and just moved up. He responded by moving the stompas, shooting the bike formation, killing the 2 bikes in range and breaking that formation
My next move was to double the other gyro formation into position to AA the fightas and took a potshot at the stompas, killed one and broke them. The stompas moved to my right, near his other kopta formation.
His next move was to double his kult of speed on my right into range of the front gyro squadron and killed 3, breaking them. I moved the gyros back a little bit near the other gyro formation and mostly shielded by woods.
My next move was to have my other Leviathan take a potshot at his Warboss' Bigmob with the doomsday cannon, getting 3 shots on battlewagons and killing 2 of them, taking out 3 orks, 2 grotz and 1 nob stand. His next move was to move up his other kopter squadron so my bikes wouldn't have a clear line to his broken stompas and took 5 potshots at the bikes that were in range and failed to do any damage.
I then moved my foot armsman+ironbreaker formation up on the hill with a double and took potshots at the kult of speed killing 2 I think.
His next move was a double with teh dinged up bigmob and he blew away the broken gyrocopter.
My next move was to bring up the BTS formation in an advance towards his Sup Commander Bigmob and got some shots off (he was a bit put out by the firepower that the gorgons put out) but killed only one little battlewagon. He then doubled his Blitzbrigade into position to shoot the left Leviathan. Got a couple hits with some big gunz and hit with the zzap gun. I saved the Big Gun hits, failed the save for the zzap gun from the particle shields (more grumbling here. will make full explanation after the report) and the leviathan took 2 damage from the shot.
I then did a double with the bikes on the right, skirting them right around the deathkoptas into a crossfire position with the guys on the hill, took the potshot with the one unsuppresed trike and missed.
He then doubled his other kult of speed into range of the leviathan on the left, shot at it and did no damage but broke it from the coming under fire blast marker.
At this point I disrupt fired the other mole mortar company into the blitz brigade, killing 4 and leaving 8 blast markers on the formation.
His final activation of the turn was to double his other bigmob across his deployment zone to near his blitzkrieg.
I then had 3 activations left I think. Move 1 was to bring the other transported formation up an advance and put a couple more shots into the warboss bigmob, killing one ork and 1 grot. Then the Cyclops did an advance and was in range of the stompas and wiped them out with one stompa being killed by the "coming under fire" blast marker, 2 dying to the mag gun shot and the other 4 being killed by the big laser. By this point my opponent was getting mighty grumpy (his stompas never really do well for him).
Rally time. All my stuff except for the broken leviathan rallies and I ended up with no blast markers. A couple of his formations failed to rally.
Turn 2: He wins the strategy roll and elects to go first. His first move was to engage with the left kult of speed, skirting around my steadholder's retinue to get at one of my mole mortar batteries. He ends up killing 3 mole mortars, i kill 2 kult of speed back, then the peanut gallery gets involved basically pointing out to us that my other mole mortar formation had nothing to lose by supporting since it would take a blast marker no matter what if I lost and they did nothing. After the resolution I was also told that the steadholder's retinue would have been able to support as well which would have probably swung the assault in my favor. As it was the one mole mortar formation lost 2 more stands and broke.
My first activation was originally to attempt to use my supreme commander to bring his and the sandhog formation into an assault with the warboss bigmob. I thought that the "multiple assault" command range was 15 cm distance for the 2 formations. I was informed by the peanut gallery that it was 5 cm so instead of the sandhogs I brought in the other gyrocopter formation and used the sandhog formation as support. I lost 5 stands (all ironbreakers), he lost 8 stands, including his warboss and a bunch of other stuff. With the combat resolution bonuses, all that he had left when he broke were the 2 flakwagons. I then retained the initiative engaging the kult of speed with the sandhogs and had as support nearly the whole infantry formation (missing one ironbreaker stand.) I lost the 4 sandhogs + 1 ironbreaker, he lost enough that after the resolution (I rolled a 6, he rolled a 3) he had 4 buggies left in the broken formation.
He made one more move, I then sustained with the foot formation on the hill which was in crossfire position on the right koptas and killed half, breaking them. At that point he conceded the game.
After this the local club started talking about the demiurg 4.0 list and were talking about how certain things were definitely overpowered in the list.
A: None of them liked the Particle Shield ability on the MCFs in the list. They all felt that all the MCFs should have 2-3 void shields instead to follow with the old abilities. I tend to agree with that.
B: The consensus was that the Mole Mortar upgrade for the LGB if we were running it right was SORELY undercosted. Most of them were comparing the Mole Mortars to IG Manticores and were thinking the full formation would be better costed at 550-650 points.
C: My opponent thought that the Gorgons had too much firepower for the effective 40 points they cost. I think they are pretty balanced with the range. That being said, 6-8 BP for 120-160 points (depending on formation size) can be nasty if used in preparation for an engagement on the next turn.
