Set up
World Eaters pick a table corner. Objectives are set up. World Eater player advises Cruiser to come on first turn and works out Bombardment and Dreadclaw drops.

Teleports: - World Eater Terminators appear next to Blitz Brigade2 and gain 1 BM

Turn 1
World Eaters win Initiative and elect to go first

- World Eater Terminators Engage Kult of Speed and intermingle Blitz Brigade2. 5 Bikes and 1 gunwagon die to 1 Terminator stand. Terminators win by 2 breaking both units and placing 1BM on Blitz Brigade1 for supporting the losing combat. Terminators attempt to consolidate into cover yet 2 stands do not make it.
- Blitz Brigade1 attempts to sustain and fails. Instead they shoot; killing 2 Terminators and breaking the unit. Terminators consolidate into cover
- Hell Talon Bombers GA Blitz Brigade2 wiping them out.
- Bloodgors1 retain and March towards the ruins
- Landa (Warband3) GA World Eater Initiates1 killing 1 rhino and 2 Initiates
- World Eater Initiates1 attempt to Marshall and fail. There are no enemies to charge or shoot so they move back into the city block.
- Warband4 go on Overwatch

- Strike Cruiser activates. Bombardment hits nothing (as terminators broke both units), and we determined that the Pin Point attack could not hit the Landa as it was not landed – I believe this may have been an error however based on the wording of the rules – too bad, it could have changed the outcome of the whole battle). The Strike Cruiser then releases the Dreadclaws:

- World Eater Berserkers1 retain and summon 3 Bloodletters and then Engage the broken Kult of Speed. Even after rolling 2x 1’s for the combat roll, they manage to win and wipe out the unit.
- Warband Uge1 March to stand in front of World Eater Berserkers1
- World Eater Berserkers2 Engage Blitz Brigade1. Warband4 enact their overwatch killing 5 Berzerkers (WTF!!!). This breaks the unit who decide to stay where they are within the ZoC of Blitz Brigade1.
- Ork player passes all remainder of his turns
- World Eater Initiates2 March along the right flank.

Rally Phase
- All aircraft exit the table without any casualties
>Terminators rally
>Blitz Brigade1 fail to remove BM
>World Eater Berserkers2 Rally
>World Eater Berserkers1 remove BM
>World Eater Initiates1 remove BM

World Eaters win Initiative

- World Eater Berserkers1 summon 1 Bloodletter and then Engage Warband Uge1. Combat ensues. World Eaters lose 3 Berserkers, 1 Dreadnought and a Bloodletter. Orks lose 4 boyz and 3 gretchin. Combat roll sees the Orks rolling 2x 1’s and losing the combat by 2. They break and move back towards own Blitz.
- World Eater Berserkers2 retain and Engage Blitz Brigade1 killing all but 2, and breaking the unit.
- Landa (Warband3)GA and Engages World Eater Initiates2 wiping them all out.
- Hell Talon Bombers GA the broken Warband Uge1 killing 10 stands!
- Warband4 Sustain Berzerkers2 wiping them out  
- World Eater Terminators summon 2 Bloodletters and charges Warband Uge1 for a FF combat with the hope of winning the combat to wipe them out and gain the BTS. Terminators lose the combat by 1 and become broken.
- Ork player passes the rest of his turns
- Bloodgors1 Engage Mekboy Gunzmob. Mekboy Gunzmob enact Overwatch and kill 3 units of Bloodgors. Combat ensues and Orks win by 1 breaking the Bloodgors who retreat back to their ruins.
- Bloodgors2 March across the centre of the table to contest 2 objectives for turn 3
- World Eater Initiates1 go on Overwatch

Turn 3
World Eaters win Initiative on a ‘6’ and gain 2 Bloodletter daemons to the Daemon Pool.

- With a view to breaking the Ork BTS the World Eater Terminators summon 2 Bloodletters and Engage Warband Uge1 for a FF combat. Combat is quite disappointing for the World Eaters who see their Terminators being wiped out (giving the Orks BTS) and seeing the Warband Uge1 consolidating back further to cover their own Blitz.
- World Eater Berserkers1 attempt to do the same, so they retain and Engage Warband Uge1 in a FF. They too lose the combat and 2 units in the process. They double back into the ruins and the Warband Uge1 consolidates back to secure their Blitz.
- Warband4 Doubles towards Bloodgors2 and kill 3 units
- Bloodgors1 March around Mekboy Gunzmob placing them between Mekboy Gunzmob and Warband Uge1.
- Landa GA Bloodgors2 killing 3 units and breaking them.
- Hell Talon Bombers GA Warband Uge1 killing 1 Nob.
- Warband Uge2 doubles forward to gain objective.
- World Eater Initiates1 March forward to contest the objective against Warband4
- Warband3 Double towards Bloodgors1 and shoot causing no damage
- Mekboy Gunzmob sustain against Bloodgors1 breaking them
- Warband Uge1 Marshall and shoot at Berserkers1 for no damage and remove 5BM
- Blitz Brigade1 attempt to March to attain Blitz objective and fail thereby becoming broken.

Aftergame Thoughts

My opponent agreed that dropping the Dreadclaws 1st turn was preferrable to a 2nd round drop against the orks as you will almost guarantee a hit with the orbital barrage, and you may be able to break 1 or more units with the assault after this. Also the pin-point attack may be able to drop something important.

In this game I teleported the Termies first in place of the Strike cruiser which I am not sure was the right decision. If I had dropped the termies against the Ork BTS, they may have done more damage, yet there are two problems with this:

1. The BTS was on overwatch, and as you can see in the battle report, getting shot up while enterring combat can really mess up the whole assault, and
2. There was always the chance that the Kult of Speed would move out of position, thereby being hard to catch

So I think I made the best decisions at the time. When the Dreadclaws did hit, the Berserkers were split to try and clean up the table. Due to effective shooting, the Berzerkers had less of an impact as I would have liked.

The Bloodgors are a nice big unit that can soak up 1-2 activations of shooting. I find that they are good for objectives. As they have no ranged weaponry, they are hard to get into CC Assault, however I will keep at it with these guys.

The Initiates in this game did very little unfortunately. The unit being wiped out to the Landa was real dissapointing, and I may have to beef these guys up with Dreadnoughts or BloodSlaughterers if they are going to foot-slog it across a table.

The Hell Talons were awesome, and using them against broken units really assisted me to cut down the Ork activations. If their numbers were not so big, I think these guys would have been the decider to the World Eaters securing the game. As it was, Blish likes his big units, and that won him the day in the end.

I am going to take the force again today I think against Marines to see how the army does against a smaller and more specialised force.

Another fine victory by me, LOL.

I do see what issues the Bloodgor units may have(like feral orks), but I also think that sometimes they can better used, but I'm not giving you any more tips.


And yes I like my big units, there are just so much more better then lots of little brittle small units.
