Umm, hate to disagree Kyuss, but I dislike the E-UK Cobra because the TK damage is too random and being fixed to D6, it no longer really threatens the larger battle titans. The stats may make the unit more generalist but this detracts from it being a "Titan killer", which I thought was it's niche role. Personally I liked some of the other options that unfortunately were not trialled - so IMO the debate needs to be re-opened.

And an "infantry only" attack in CC is a rule that really needs to be introduced for several other units as well as the Banshees.

Well, it is worse vs the big titans, but better vs the small titans? And of course no longer death for terminators and other hard infantry.

Actually its a need to rethink the entire MW attack system to make I an ability, not the type of attack which should retain AP/AT values. Thus a current MW4+ attack today would be an AT4+/AP4+, MW stat

Just re-read this.

So I think you are saying that by making MW a weapon ability, you could have AT4+ MW, or AP4+ MW allowing the weapon to be lethal against particular target types but not others.

An interesting idea that introduces a bit more flexibility into the weapon stats. ;) ;)

Yup. I rebalanced the Eldar port to Exodus Wars that way to good effect. It's no more record keeping nor rolling than already exists and stops need for an ever-growing list of specials. It also allows through clever use of the OR convention to apply MW as a weapon to just one mode/target type. See the Thunderfire cannon for an example with the disrupt vs ignore cover modes. So in example a weapon could theoretically be APx+ mw OR ATx+ to represent a weapon terrific at killing infantry but ok at armor.

Anyways we're getting OT now :)
