Hoping to get a third game in against the Eldar Titan Clan today, using a ground-pounding, or "Mud Marine", list I've been thinking about... not sure how it's going to do... against any army, let alone Eldar Titans!

But, Evil Friend Dave is running a little late, so not sure what's going to happen.

Rangers seem to be in the list soley to make up for the low activation count. That seems a problem to me.

Yeah, I don't think there would be much opposition to putting further restrictions on ranger troupes.

One idea might be to not allow rangers as their own formation, but allow them to be taken as an upgrade or as a 3-to-4 swap in war walker troupes. That would keep the theme of a walker-based army.

Alternately, you could force ranger troupes to be 8 stands, and not give the choice of having fewer.

I guess you could go really radical and drop rangers from the list entirely. That would force people to rely on war walkers for their scouting needs.

Of course, once rangers are taken care of, then non-upgraded guardians may be problematic, but of course they can't do as much as a range troupe can.

I agree, it doesn't really look like a Titan list if more than 50% of the formations are infantry formations.

While this isn't my Lugganath list its close enough.  My goal for Lugganath was to give it some much needed love once the publishing obligations were taken care of but even if there are two competing lists the data is going to be good to have no matter what.
