Regen was done on and off the table. At most, the necrons were rallying 2 models in the end phase.
I think at one point, matt chose to marshall and gain necrons back. This was done on the table.
1 mistake I made which may have affected the game to some degree was that I applied the "void shield" regeneration rule to rallying in the end phase (so I chose either to remove an extra BM or gain 1 model back), rather than just regrouping. I think there was only 1 occasion when I chose to remove BM instead of bringing back a stand though, as most of the warrior phalanxes still had their tomb spiders for most of the time.
I don't think I marshalled throughout the game - I was going to with one extremely battered phalanx (the 1 that got CCd by the slaughterfiend/chosen fm) in turn 2 but used them to assault the battered chosen fm hiding in the ruins instead.
Another thing - we played warriors as CC4 FF4 as per NetEA docs, instead of the CC5 FF5 of the Raiders, is this right?
I think Frogbear will be a much tougher opponent next time round, now that he has the measure of the Necron's strengths and weaknesses
