Nice report - looks like a fun game.

Did I understand correctly that the Warhound failed to activate on turn 1?  :oh:

Yup, a '1' on a retain will stop even the most eager of titans. The game provides a nice balance of choices to both sides, not least of which is whether to march forward in an attempt to provid a shield for the retiring Miners, or to double slightly less far while trying to suppress the Rangers by lobbing a few shots at them.

Nick and I did discuss finding some way to limit the Eldar air power (as Markonz also suggests), but I am less sure. There are several subtle constraints built in, most of which work in favour of the IG.

Part of the problem with this game is that we created the two armies in a hurry from tournament lists. While the Eldar list is geared for assault, the IG army is much less suited for the scenario. It would probably go much better swapping the SHT company for a Regimental HQ, not just for the additional speed, resilience and formation footprint, but also for the SC reroll which might just have spurred the Leman Russ to assit more

Anyhow, I hope for better success the next time I try it.

Ah, I had a brain glitch and didn't notice the Warhound was retaining.

I'd quite like to try this one as soon as I have time.

Cool stuff! I think me and some friends will give it a go in the next couple of weeks if you don't mind.
In fact i can feel a theme coming on; we've been planning a couple of 'lost wraithate' games too and wanted to do an extraction mission for soem beleagured stormtroopers in the middle of a jungle...maybe this is the start of an imrpomptu online campaign? :blues:

That looks like a fun scenario.  I'd like to give it a whirl.  Thanks for posting!

On the supplement side, if you can email me all of the pictures (or is that all of them?) then I'd really appreciate it.  It would be cool if you could sequence them, but if not I'll figure it out.

Glad you like the idea Mosc. I have emailed the photos as requested. Do you also need some form of map or schematic?

I don't need it but I want it.  I need my kidneys.  I want a cookie.  :))

Yes, please send me anything and everything you have.  I am going to start compiling things along with Chroma and we'll hopefully have a nice collection by the end of the year.  Thanks!
