Any thoughts on the Ordinatus. I like them, although they are so easy to break.

I like the idea of them and I like the stats - only having 2DC but having 2 shields makes them feel nicely different. They also do a good job of filling holes in your army, tooling up with powerful weapons you really want but don't have on your titans.

I agree that their main weakness is the ease with which they break. It's a pretty big weakness.

They did okay for me in this battle. One broke himself, but he had already fired his missile. The other one did fine, though he would have been smashed apart in assault if Mephiston had passed his activation.

I think they are maybe a little bit over-priced, given the weaknesses, but they need some more play testing over a number of games to come to a conclusion I think.

Thanks for the report Gary, certainly faster than I'd have done it, however I think you may have overstated my skill at Epic  :)

The game really was an uphill struggle once your Reaver was removed by my over achieving death strikes. I just really didn't fancy that FF beast rampaging through my formations so it had to go early.

I think your list showed  the inherant difficulties of playing with a titan legion, and thats acitvations. Battle Titans are awesome machines that require a lot of effort to kill, but can't hold enough ground to win a game of epic by themselves.

I like the idea of the minorisis(?). More play test wil tell if they should be 175 or 150 but after 2 games I'm leaning to 150 with the 1 per 1000 limit in place.

Have to say I like the direction the list is taking and hope we come to a position were extended testing can take place with a static list. Not many tweaks required unless someone (Tim?) can find a real "tournament" edge somewhere?

Excellent report, even without the pictures.

Mephiston thinks Thunderbolts are crucial for AMTL and I agree.

I think for the air cover alone they are worth it. They are not static like hydra's plus you get the other options of attacking isolated units.

I'm looking forward to your next report.

Personally I think carapace multilasers are nigh-worthless (Two shots that hit on 6's if you take any order that lets you move, no thanks!), and Thunderbolts should be a first choice for Mechanicus AA.

Problem comes when you then take 2 Skitarii + Chimera as an option to give you additional movement and firepower and then using thunderbolts. Still working on the list to beat all lists, but it will come and then we can modify around it.

I see them more as an air assault deterent... puts Blast markers on any formations attempting to attack the Titan by air.
