Something to consider:

Most of the lists tested here were with some advatage to Minervans because of wrong poinst (SHT companies), strange changes (Demolisher) and abuse of cheap point costs (Thunderer)

btw, I lost my game against Eldar by points without using the advantages above

As scouts, they're so fast, they've already got there! (Garrison).

How's that for speed? ?*laugh*

Grea tbattle rep Hena.  Thanks for sharing it.

On the Storm blade front.  I am not s sure as it if it should be reduced to FF5+. It has a similar offense capability to the Baneblade.  Ignoring the main gun, the BB only has a demolsher cannn and an extra heavy bolter (well twin linking the front one).

I don't see a demolisher cannon being used that much in a fire fight, it has too slow a rate of fire, the firefight weapons would mainly be the las cannons and the heavy bolters.

I haven't found the plasma blast gun that overpowered compared to a BB cannons, since you can shield tanks with expendable infantry against MW attacks.

The Minervans are overpowered - not Siege Masters overpowered but slightly overpowered.  The Russes definitely don't need a discount - they already have an invisible discount in the flexibility of fielding various units of varying cost/ability.  The MW thing is still out there.  And the SHTs need another look-see as mentioned above.

But here is the real crux of it: The Dark Eldar are underpowered.  This battle report matches the range of tests I did a couple weeks ago.  I actually have already made the changes to the list for Raiders but I think I am going to put them out early.  In fact, I'll post them in about 3 hours.

Even with the changes, though, there are certain things I have learned about playing the DE.  For one, rare is the time that you will want to remain in your Raiders.  Better to lose the Warriors/infantry and absorb hits than have them automatically wiping out your Warriors when your Raider gets killed.  Another thing is that you must remain focused on the objectives.  I had a couple games where my opponents raised their eyebrows on turn 3 as my Reavers marched the length of the board to acquire the blitz.  Lastly just realize that - like the SMs - the Dark Eldar are terribly unforgiving of mistakes or overly bad dice.

Hena, do you have any other battle shots (things that were close-ups?)

@Hena: Some tests against official army lists would be nice. Only this comparements are really useable to name something over- or underpowered.

Minervans are also extremely vulnerable to massed MW engagement, proven in my battle report against a not maxed out Eldar list. (as eldar or TAU or CHAOS can field) Also with 2 or 3 casualities your 700 pts Tank companies are pretty useless. Don?t know but my opponent has no hard time to neutralize them or at least make them stay out of fight. Many other lists are more flexible in this manner, as ther point sinkers are WE most times or can absorb damage more easily.

I agree they are short on AT weapons, but the question comes in as to where to put them. ?My only real choice is to somehow change the stats on the Ravager from the two disintegrators to dark lances. ?Three AT5+ lance shots might do the trick and -somebody correct me if I am wrong- but this is a legal configuration for a 40K Ravager, correct?

It would be a trade off, of course, since this would make the Ravagers limited to AT only. ?But maybe it is the way to go. ?Thoughts on this?

EDIT - or 1 disintegrator and 2 dark lances... ???
