It has been a BAD WEEKEND (see additional comments
HERE)
Now, before showing you the pictures of my completed 'Nid army, let me tell you what's messed it all up 'beneath the seams' so to speak; for it does LOOK nice at least...
Right, so: they've been based on 1 and 2 pence coins, on top of those coins is a layer of wood filler coloured grey.  So good so far. I spent FOUR HOURS clipping down the bases of the infantry and painting the 'anchor' that created grey to match.  Still good.  Superglue was then applied to said anchor and each individual figure placed on the base. TWO HOURS.
The problem; well, it doesn't seem that the figures are particularly well adhered to and a few of them keep falling off :-(, i doubt that they'll survive transportation.
ON TOP OF THIS, i ended up buying some weird bushy flock stuff after refusing to pay GW's exorbitant £5 for a 50ml static grass pot or whatever...not only is it a tad too big next to the 'Nid's but it doesn't want to stick very well...further to my problems several of the metal figures have already got chips on them (caused by the fact that the wash was part based on white spirit and handling them is a tricky business.  With any luck these two problems can be solved by a quick repaint of selected areas and a hefty dose of varnish.
If ANYONE has a damned fine idea to help with the other problems i'd be very thankful.
Now; on with the show; have a look at these slightly overexposed pictures due to my foolish choice of background black and tell me that at least the army LOOKS good...

There's that done then...
